Waiting for United fans to tell me how awesome he is.
Nice move though. He should fit in well.

Hoped he'd stay in Dortmund, but oh well...
Why are all the top players joining PL clubs all of a sudden

Because European countries' taxation is about to go through the roof and UK will remain relatively reasonable... EPL can pay well.

Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
After such a mediocre seasons, PL clubs just had to strengthen, IMO. They were clearly lacking quality. Being rich doesn't hurt. I mean, the January window was crap, and last summer's extremely meh when it came to top class signings.
Well, except Chelsea...

I think he'll take Welbeck's place and play behind Rooney...

He might be the next Ozil, a decent player snapped up from Germany for a decent price but with loads of potential. But it's mind blowing because how much did he cost BVB? I know he was way cheap.

Rooney hasn't played lone striker since forever, doubt SAF will play him there anymore. If he does though, I will be surprised.

Dortmund system is massively different than United... like night and day. It will be interesting to see how he adapts to traditional british tactics.

They do have in common the grit, determination and defense first, counter attack later-type football...
Dortmund's is much more attractive to watch, although that might be because they have a midfield.

Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
I do love how when people do Man Utd XI's and no Valencia is in sight when he's be far their best winger
Anyway fantastic signing who has been underrated for a while now, think of silky skills, immaculate first touch and quick passing of Ozil with more pace and better finishing and that's what you have with Kagawa.
If Fergie does'nt play him as an AM iam going to so hard.

Re: Kagawa to United for £18M
Why are people comparing him to Oezil? Oezil is more of a midfielder while Kagawa is basically a second striker.
They still desperately lack a midfielder. Carrick and Scholes aren't going to cut it against the top clubs.

No he is'nt..... they are both like second strikers.
Goetze, Oscar etc etc are more of midfielders Ozil is not a midfielder no matter how much Jose wants to turn him into one.
Ozil is a much as an SS as any AM out there on thier market and iam the only one who compared him to Ozil and all i said is that he is similar in how he plays and i do see lots of similarities although Kagawa is quicker and a better goalscorer.

BVB getting 20m out of a player with a year left on his contract is great business. they will probably sell Gotze for 35+m
