Re: Lolrente
Because even if you feed Torres, who is working with considerably more tools than Llorente, he still cant score.

Re: Lolrente
The irony that a staunch torres fan is creating this thread
Heres a fact, Llorente at the moment has been better than Torres has ever been. Llorente is aside from the finishing is superior than Torres in literally every aspect. 6'5 Target man? Has anyone even see him play and watched all the chances created by him for Athletic along with his superb general play and passing?
Fact is Bielsa has somewhat hindered Llorente's false 9 role by switching back to a 4-3-3 and playing forwards who aren't even forwards with a man who isn't at his best with 2 forwards along side him and playing in a formation that does NOT suit the whole team. Hence Athletic's poor performances in both finals.
Torres on the other hand has flopped HARD the whole year and being outperformed by a past his prime drogba and doing squat for the NT every single time. Don't be fooled by his Euro Final goal as he has been painfully average for Espana in total while Llorente in his subs of the bench performs even when he doesn't score. Hell, I can only remember ONE match Llorente did not perform and that was against Italia in the friendly.
Llorente is far better in handling pressure and can actually lead a line unlike Torres and is hands down a better player. End of.

Only thing that tells you is Torres was willing to sacrifice his stats to improve his team unlike a certain midget residing in Catalunya (OK I'll stop now ). Such an irrelevant stat.
He allowed Villa to be Batman (or at least pretend to) but when push came to shove who scored to deciding goal to transform Spain from eternal pretenders to the most dominant NT since Zidane's France?
Torres may not have had the best of seasons but who would you rather have starting, pretenders like Negredo, Soldado etc or a player who was Top scorer in a WC, scored the deciding goal in Euro Final + crossed for a WC winner (I'm not giving this up lol) & is by far the most talented forward in your Nation?

Re: Lolrente
All these things belong in the past, Torres isnt that player anymore the mere fact he has scored in 4 premier league games in 2 seasons should tell you that...
Soldado and Negredo( i wouldnt take him either) might be pretenders but with the midfield that Spain have behind them they would score goals.
Torres cant simply score goals lol, the only time he has he had 10+ yards of space everytime which wont be afforded to him for Spain.
Besides Llorente should start unquestionably and Soldado and the others are mere back ups.

Torres? Tevez had a 6 month vacation and still outscored him.

Better in the air because of his physique, but Torres has better feet.

Torres might have more assists, but that doesn't mean that Llorente is bad with his feet. I do agree that Torres has a slight edge on that particular aspect, though.

Re: Lolrente
Llorente has scored more goals in the last four years than Torres....And when the hell Was Torres the top scorer of the WC Lol??Also,Why does scoring in a Final 4 years ago matter now??Its obvious Llorente is the better player and deserves to be Starting over Torres.

Tell me how Torres scored 17 goals this season and is currently the highest scoring Spaniard in Europe

So Llorente scored 17 goals? Funny how Torres had a bad year yet still scored 11 goals(along with 18 assists) and Llorente scores 17 and he's suddenly some GOAT?punkfusion1992 wrote:Oh, so you think that Torres is better than Llorente?

Re: Lolrente
Lets get one thing straight, its a common stereotype on guys like Ibra and llorente that they are simply just "target men" whereas the fact is that they are far more than that. Ibra has already destroyed that stereotype while Llorente is noticed as one of the worlds most complete strikers by the ones that actually watch him. Llorente is in fact better than Torres with his feet and shooting. Dribbling, passing, you name it. I don't even have to mention touch since torres literally doesn't have first touch lol. Torres also can be canceled out if you physically impose him which is why he throws his girly fits in some games while it takes multiple men to cancel out Llorente due to his strength and guile.
Stats: Torres: 34 games, 12 goals.
Llorente: 45 games, 30 goals.
I don't have to mention how Llorente's general play is better than Torres along with the fact that Llorente's goals are actually IMPORTANT unlike Torres' easy goals against lower sides and routine goal against Barca.
Just deal with it that Llorente is better than Torres as the sooner we come to realize this the better. Torres is a joke in Espana and in Europe.

Arq I'm not saying he's better but all trolling aside , Torres has actually vastly improved in the areas outside of scoring.

It would be callous for me to deny that and I agree with you.
Not better than Llorente, but no doubt he has improved in his external aspects.

Re: Lolrente
Torres is crap, why is this still a debate lol
Anyway, nothing Llorente could do, there is a very long list of forward who just couldnt do anything against Barca through no fault of their own.

Re: Lolrente
Logically, I'd choose Llorente over Torres considering we need a finisher in Spain, not someone whose assist are higher than goal ratio. Maybe for the World Cup Torres can pick up his game and earn his starter role, but as it stands.. no just no, if not Llorente then Soldado but please god not Torres.
