Milan, take your hands off our Mr. Piggy...

100 billion dollars.
No, really. Bayern aren't selling him and the only way he's going is if his contract ran out.

He was very close, but good thing the management saw his potential. Plus he's one of the homegrowns.

still, he needs to get back to his very best: the form he was in 2009-2010 and world cup. he could rest now, so maybe he'll get back to that.

Does Schweinsteiger has a price
This thought came to my head after posting on the right-back section thread "Schweini vs Yaya".
Schweinsteiger represents everything about Bayern, he's our leader and Lahm is just the captain, he's indispensable to the club, personally nothing will make me want to sell him, not even for any price.
But would £100million plus Sahin tempt you to sell him to our bitter sibling like Rivals, Madrid.
Imagine, what £100million will do for us, Neymar, Hazard, Howedes, Sahin and De-Rossi all in one season
Neymar: 35m
Hazard: 30m
Howedes: 15m
De-Rossi: 20m
Sahin: Free

Re: Former Player: Bastian Schweinsteiger
Would still be a worse squad than before. None of the players coming in would much improve Bayern, but Schweini leaving would.

No frakking way
Sahin ain't as good, and the rest ain't that badly needed.
Also, Schweini is a club symbol and the morale boost he brings and leadership abilities (well, confidence boost) cannot be replicated by any other player.

Re: Former Player: Bastian Schweinsteiger
Well, I will have to accept with Sushi and ViVa one more time, (it's not like I was disputing it the first place) Schweini is simply priceless, not even for 100m plus Sahin

Re: Former Player: Bastian Schweinsteiger
For me midfield is the most important position in any team and there aren't that many out there that have the mix of talent and leadership that Schweinsteiger brings to the table. If this was closer to the end of his career I would perhaps take the cash, but he has to much left to give to club and country to make that deal now.

Re: Former Player: Bastian Schweinsteiger
The point is that Schweinsteiger is irreplacable. If Bayern were broke, and hteir squad was bad, of course.
Like, if Messi moved to St. Pauli tomorrow, of course we would sell him for like 150m and buy a new youth academy, half a new stadium and 6 new players.
Bayerns problem with buying players isn't that they can't afford them, it's just that there's only 1 or 2 positions where they could buy players who are better than what they have. In Schweinsteigers position there is nobody better, not for the style Bayern play.
On the wings, nobody is available who is better than what they have. For Bayerns style, Gomez is the best striker. The only thing they could really want, would be a backup to Schweinsteiger, which selling Schweinsteiger wouldn't help, and a backup for Gustavo, which either isn't for sale, or is affordable.
At the level of Bayern/Real/Barca you don't need money to buy players, you need to wait for players worthy of your money :C

Re: Former Player: Bastian Schweinsteiger
Apparently Bayern are seriously going after Sahin as well, at least Honigstein says so, and he called the Podolski move months ago, so I believe him.
This would be a great backup to Schweini/Kroos, all they need now is maybe one more CB/FB for the bench, though that'd be a luxury signing, and a Gustavo/Tymo-backup, but a really good one. I still think it's a f*cking shame they didn't go for Lars Bender when they had the chance, now his Neverkusen contract runs 'til 2016 O_o
The more ambitious Bayern get, the more annoying it is, they didn't get Vidal...

Re: Former Player: Bastian Schweinsteiger
If Sahin Joins, Tymo's contract will not be renew.
We'll have Kroos, Schweini, Gustavo and Sahin as DM.
Yeah, it's quite obvious we need another CB, especially since DVB body can-not keep up anymore.
If we really need to sign someone cheap and desperately this season because of DVB injury problem, then I say we go for FC Koln Geromel, he'll be available for a cheap a price and i am sure he's willing to leave Koln, especially now that they are relegated..
but if we want to be patient, then I say we wait one more season and sign Howedes...

Tymo's contract got an automatic extension till June 2013. Nothing to change about this.

I mean for next year
Re: Former Player: Bastian Schweinsteiger
Well that leaves Gustavo as the only destroyer-type midfielder, IMHO Bayern need 3 of those, two of them should be good enough to be starters. So they should sign one destroyer-DM now and another one next season when Tymo leaves (he'll leave either way, IMHO, getting too immobile for Bayern).
One more CB would be good, it's only DVB, Goodstuber, Boateng and Dante atm, should have a fifth in case of emergency.
Höwedes would be the best possible signing after Hummels, but IMHO Höwedes won't come. He's Schalkes captain (1), and he'll probably not start for Bayern (2), while Schalke play UCL as well (3) - three reasons are probably enough to say "no".
Geromel would be a great signing though, I don't know why he hasn't gotten picked up already anyway, was one of the best defenders of the league just 1 or 2 seasons past.

Bastian Schweinsteiger wants to work for Real Madrid coach Mourinho
Schweinsteiger is a huge fan of the former Chelsea and Inter Milan manager.
"I have to admit that I see Mourinho as an excellent coach. Unfortunately he doesn't speak German. Either way, I believe Mourinho is a coach who would definitely be successful with Bayern," Schweinsteiger told Bild.
"I would very much like it if Bayern think of Mourinho if we are ever in the market for a new coach."

Re: Former Player: Bastian Schweinsteiger
Yeah, I read that interview, too. Schweinsteiger would like Mourinho to be his coach - but only if Mourinho coaches Bayern. It is not that Schweinsteiger wants to leave Bayern to train under Mourinho.

Re: Former Player: Bastian Schweinsteiger
Mourinho in Bayern will be cool, but he'll leave after winning bundesliga and Champions League.
He's just after his personal glory, no thanks Schweini.

Bayern just like how their club is run by former players should be coached by their former players as well imo. Also they'd be Bayern Munich by heart.
