Re: The Official Arsenal Summer Transfers/Rumours Thread
Nicklas Bendtner looks ready for another season in the Premier League after hiring an English agent to sort out his future.
The Euros-bound Denmark striker will have to go back to parent club Arsenal now a season-long loan to Sunderland has ended, but wants a permanent move this summer.
So, he has hired FIFA-licensed agent Tom Brookes to work alongside his father Thomas, who will concentrate more on the player's budding jewellery business.
Bendtner said: “I know Tom from England, and now he and my father are taking care of the interested clubs.”
Several German clubs have expressed an interest, but Bendtner is open to staying in the Premier League.
Any deal will have to overcome his £8million price tag and the fact he is on £52,000-a-week.

Re: The Official Arsenal Summer Transfers/Rumours Thread
Zenit St Petersburg are eager to sign permanently Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin.
Arshavin made a temporary switch to Zenit in February after losing his regular first-team place at Emirates Stadium and scored three goals in nine starts for Luciano Spalletti’s side.
Chief executive Maxim Mitrofanov said: “Everything depends on Arshavin. If Andrey is ready to stay in the team and go on the field as a player, we are ready to discuss it.
“Arshavin is part of our club but, with all due respect to him, he will only stay in the event that he proves himself useful as an active player. Not as a man making up the numbers.”

Re: The Official Arsenal Summer Transfers/Rumours Thread
Arsenal and Liverpool targets Cristian Tello and Isaac Cuenca have been told they will not be allowed to leave Barcelona this summer.
The young duo became regulars in the first-team squad last season but are expected to have less chances to impress under new boss Tito Vilanova, with David Villa and Ibrahim Afellay set to return from injury in time for next term.
But Catalan newspaper Sport have reported that Vilanova has made it clear he wants to keep the attacking pair and will not even think about selling them this summer.
And Pep Guardiola's former assistant has reportedly said he wants to build a new generation at Barcelona around Tello and Cuenca - aged 20 and 21 respectively - with the Premier League giants forced to look elsewhere for reinforcements.

Alessandro del Piero's former agent believes the Juventus legend will move to England.
Del Piero has been linked with QPR and Arsenal, but River Plate have confirmed their interest this week.
"I don’t think that he’ll go and play for River Plate in Argentina or in Canada,” said Claudio Pasqualin.
“Alex is just waiting for the right offer – probably from England.”

Re: The Official Arsenal Summer Transfers/Rumours Thread
Kolo Toure has been linked with an emotional return to Arsenal Football Club.
The Ivory Coast international made his name at the Gunners, spending seven years at the club before leaving for Manchester City in a £14million deal back in 2009.
Toure helped the Blues win the Premier League title last season, although he watched much of the action from the sidelines after losing his place in the starting line-up.
Now in the final year of his contract, the 31-year-old is being tipped to leave City this summer, and it is believed he has set his heart on a return to his former club.
Arsene Wenger is said to be in the market for defensive reinforcements so a deal could be on the cards, although Paris St Germain are also expected to bid for the player.

Re: The Official Arsenal Summer Transfers/Rumours Thread
Manchester United are lining up a sensational move for Arsenal skipper Robin van Persie.
The 28-year-old has just one year left on his current deal at the Emirates and there has been intense speculation over whether he will remain at Arsenal.
Van Persie, who has hit 35 goals in all competitions this season, has stated that he will hold talks with Arsene Wenger over his future in the summer.
Manchester City are reportedly ready to pay the Dutchman £250,000 a week to quit north London, while Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona have also been linked with moves.
Now United have joined the chase, with Sir Alex Ferguson planning to strengthen his squad this summer after a disappointing campaign that looks set to end without any silverware.
talkSPORT understands United have already sounded out the possibility of van Persie making a switch to Old Trafford, and are prepared to splash out big on the former Feyenoord man.
This saga seems to be going very similar to Ca$hri's one last season

Re: The Official Arsenal Summer Transfers/Rumours Thread
i'd take kolo as well. we'll probably have trouble signing top level cb's because we have 3 guys who are capable of filling the 2 spots and none of them are considered old. 4th choice is djourou but he wants out, so replacing him with an experienced player like toure who's probably more trustworthy atm wouldnt be a bad option

Re: The Official Arsenal Summer Transfers/Rumours Thread
Kolo's not going to go from one bench, where he can make a shit lot of money, to another bench were he'll make half as much.
As for Giroud/Chamakh comparision, he it really that farfetched? Chamakh helped Bordeaux to the Ligue 1 title, scored some goals in the champions league, was hyped as a target man/alternative to VP/someone VP can play off. Is Giroud really that much better than what Chamakh was just before we brought him?

Yes Giroud is much better than Chamakh ever was, he's more technical, better in air and can shoot with his feet unlike Chamakh. That said he's not proven at the highest level, needs support from other players etc...

Yann M'Vila has made a "spectacular recovery", but remains a doubt for England game. Blaise Matuidi fit. - http://bit.ly/Li5Zsg

Just thought I'd let i be known that he recovers from injuries quite quickly then! lol

I really would like Toure to come back. He is a good player and he's well respected. But wasn't his problem at City being that he was on bench? I dont see how he will get much more playing time here at Arsenal....
