Re: Younes Belhanda
Montpellier are not really against selling him to PSG. Nicolin wants to keep talent in Ligue 1. .. He sees the benefits to him of improving the league.
Things get difficult when you start talking about sales between PSG, Lyon, Marseille and Lille. Event then, at the right price, it's not a big issue other than PSG and Marseille perhaps.
But again, Belhanda has said he would prefer to stay in Ligue 1 and Nicolin has no problems selling to PSG.

Re: Younes Belhanda
In France, only PSG could afford the price.
But the thing is, why would he go to PSG? they are going to finish behind Montpellier this year. He could stay one year more at Montpellier and then try his luck abroad.
Signing to PSG would not help his career. Still, I think that Giroud is more important then him for Montpellier.

Why would he go to PSG? they are about to invest massively into their team, how about that? what happens in the next few years matter more than what will happen next week.
Montpellier have very little chance to accomplish the same next year, specially when they are likely to get raided.

PSG wants to invest massively in their team, but they will always be beaten to the punch by historic european team for the very best talents. Belhanda could seriously gamble on a bigger offer if he stays at Montpellier one more year.

Problem with Belhanda is his attitude and any team getting him will need to have a manger capable of controlling him

Re: Younes Belhanda
City did it. Chelsea also. no reason psg should not be able to unless that new idiot president of france ruins the country completely.... which is very much in the realm of possibility.
Regarding Belhanda, he's kind of a headcase. It will come down to whether a club wants to invest in his maturity or not.
Montpellier have Cabella to replace him. Transition won't be that crazy.

Hollande wants to tax income at 75% above one millions €. It will completely kill Ligue 1.
Chelsea and City are in the EPL, not ligue 1.

Re: Younes Belhanda
lol, Bayern has dominated the bundesliga for years while competing in europe, Lyon did it although they didnt have the money to bring more talents. I see no reasons why PSG couldnt do the same.

I agree with you here. The only way clubs can keep players is if they offer net wages as opposed to gross ones.... in essence, clubs would have to carry the burden of the extra tax. Not sure very many can or will.
In the end, i think Hollande fails massively and France is going to revert his crazy policies. 2 years max imo.

We will see. I am very doubtful seeing the state of French market.

Nothing to do with footy. I already know of 8 large private equity firms that have frozen investments and will stop all activity if the 75% tax goes into effect. These guys were investing billions in the French real estate market and they've decided to stop. This is going to happen across all industries... you can't hit good returns compared to other places in the world if the income is being taxed at 75%. It's impossible. I'm likely moving from France too unfortunately because it stops making sense to be here,
Complete madness.

The worst is that the 75% over a million is going to bring peanuts at state level. It will bring very little money.
But it is pure popullism to please the poor uneducated and unemployed that vote left.

Re: Younes Belhanda
Belhanda said he would stay at Montpellier next season, he wants to play the Champions League with his home club and he wants progress a little more before moving. He said he couldnt confirm 100% but he said:"I want to play the CL with Montpellier". Good for him, he needs to mature some bit.

Re: Younes Belhanda
I bet all scouts in the Prem were salivating at the fact Morocco made it to the London Olympics.
That means they don't have to travel far to watch Belhanda do work.
