France coach Laurent Blanc will name his preliminary squad for Euro 2012 today at 5pm UK time.

Blanc has all but confirmed Koscielny will be in EURO squad as back up to Rami and Mexes: 'He's very good. I have no worries at centre back'

Koscielny should start over Mexes and next to Rami
keep Evra away from line up as well

Of course Koscielny should be starting, but I'd rather see them on the bench and get a full summer's rest.

Personally think Clichy should and could be starting over Evra at LB.....

And quite frankly given how Clichy has been playing compared to Evra thats what i would do aswell.... could be a touchy subject in this section lol.

Reckon Mexes is getting the call over Koscielny because of his experience in the squad and at International level.

Koscielny as fantastic as he has been is quite frankly a noob at international level and i expect Blanc wants that experience next to Rami and doesnt want to risk having two releatively in-experienced CB's at the back.

Not a touchy subject at all lol.

Clichy has been extremely solid for City this year and is by far the better LB for France. His concentration levels seem to be a bit higher at City and that was probably the only thing that was holding him back from being a quality fullback.

I agree, we need all our players to be fresh for next year.

Walcott has been far better than Milner, Lennon and SWP this season. Deserves to go

Koscielny might not make the starting XI for France due to international inexperience, but hopefully Blanc sees how good he is and gives him his shot when the time is right. As for Clichy, I hold no ill will towards him since his exit was at least done respectfully last summer, and he certainly has performed better than Evra this year. Considering I think as Arsenal fans we all dislike Evra, I'd love Clichy to start for France

And yeah, it would be horse-shit if Theo misses out for England.

Also, did anyone else notice in the RvP twitter takeover that he ranked Portugal as having as good of a shot of winning the Euro as Holland, Spain and Germany? First of all, I don't think they're top 4 in Europe, although they do have a good squad. Secondly, they are in the group of death with ze Germans, Holland and Denmark (which has internationally had their number recently). I must disagree with Robin's assessment...

The squad hasn't been announced yet, but we're just speculating and saying it would be stupid if he missed out on a major tournament again.
