Re: Gregory Van Der Wiel
Has looked good for the Dutch NT, but not so much for Ajax unless they're in Europe. Good RB though.

Re: Gregory Van Der Wiel
That would mean Rosi would go on the bench, or we might sell him which is what I read yesterday. I would keep him as a sub.

Yeah Rosi would be a good backup.Cassetti is leaving from what I've read so there's some more good news.

Re: Gregory Van Der Wiel
Cassetti and Cicinho are gone for sure. Taddei, Angel and Rosi are question marks. Crescenzi should be back, I think they're looking to keep him with us for next season.

Angel should leave as well imo, very poor player.I get really frustrated watching him.We should have kept Crescenzi with us last season,he would have had a season with us to show us what he can do in the big league.Shame on you LE for not giving him much of a chance.

Re: Gregory Van Der Wiel
Cesar Azpilicueta you mean?
I actually rate him higher than van der Wiel honestly. A more complete full-back to me.

I watched him before his move to Marseille and I also do watch a good bit of Ligue 1 when time allows. He's incredibly underrated. One of the few full-backs I've seen that completely shackled Ribery this season. Can also play both flanks as well.

Re: Gregory Van Der Wiel
Cagnucci: "For Van der Wiel has done"
Tonino Cagnucci, signing of the Romanist, addressed to "All About Golf", on Radio IES, to discuss the possible purchase of Van der Wiel on the part of Rome and of future market shocks. These are his words:
The Dutch full-back.
"I confirm the agreement with van der Wiel, is made, there are no signatures but the deal fell through. E 'of the greatest fullbacks right, 24 years old and already plays in the National Assembly; already has a lot of experience and has been recommended by Stekelenburg. Rarely do I sign pieces on the transfer, when I do it because I have sure information and then either Ajax or Roma have denied. "
On central defenders.
"Comes 3 middle, will only Burdisso and Kjaer will retain the loan. They will go away instead of Heinze and Juan. In midfield, there will come a holder

Re: Gregory Van Der Wiel
Market Rome, new details about the van der Wiel
Sabatini has succeeded where Pradè failed: Steaming seized the favorable moment and has dived on vdW
Zucchelli clear of the Roma has been taken on Sport Network: she was asked about the new "bomb"-van der Wiel.
" The crystal ball does not have anyone, but what is certain is that Roma have a verbal agreement is with the player with Ajax for 10 million euros (he has a contract that expires in 2013) . Yet there are no signatures for this and we can not give 100% certainty, but what I can say is that Rome has moved ahead and ripped into this agreement with the club and a three-year player. There was an accelerated when the player was moving away from Valencia had already been followed in recent years by Pradè, Sabatini has understood the favorable moment, which served as a right-back because the rose is deficient in that role , intervened . We are confident that the oral agreement is steel and will be respected. I can say that if we did this morning we have this title in our paper is strong because we have made many cross-checks with different sources in Italy and Holland and it was confirmed. there's been accelerated in recent days .

Re: Gregory Van Der Wiel
Van der Wiel-Roma link
Whilst Ajax’s Gregory van der Wiel denies a deal is in place to join Roma, the Dutch full-back has still left the door open for a potential move this summer.
Several reports in Italy are suggesting that the Giallorossi have targeted the 24-year-old right-sided full-back, who is a former teammate of current Roma ‘keeper Maarten Stekelenburg. Il Romanista even alleged on Monday evening that a deal to sign the defender from Ajax is already in place for the summer.
Whilst the player has said otherwise on this latter claim in a quick address to the media on Monday, he has not ruled out a departure from the newly-crowned Dutch champions this coming transfer window.
“No team has given evidence that they want to sign me, so I do not know where I’ll be playing next season.
“I’ve not said goodbye to Ajax yet, but my only thoughts now are on the European Championships.”

Re: Gregory Van Der Wiel
Read somewhere that our 5M bid was turned down for VDW also he said again he wants to play in the Champions League next season.
Looks like we best move on and forget about him.
We should inquire about Schelotto.

Re: Gregory Van Der Wiel
Van Der Wiel: "Thanks Roma, but I want to play the Champions"
Through his official website, Gregory Van Der Wiel has announced that he had declined the offer of Rome: "Especially from the Italian media has been reported that I would have reached an agreement with Rome. These rumors are completely unfounded, but they are not correct. My manager Hakim Slimani has spent a day in the capital at the request of Rome and had a pleasant meeting with the club. The Rome would buy me, but Hakim has told them that I prefer a club that will play the Champions League next season. Nevertheless, I am honored that they have shown interest in me
