Btw Rodgers confirms Liverpool have agreed fees for Allen.

The owners will sell? The owners are the ones doing transfers, Rodgers and his team are. Rodgers is the one that's willing to sell Agger for silly money as he can then get a good replacement as well as another player or two with such cash. Why do people insist on A) suggesting this means Agger is gone (he isn't), B) that selling Agger would destroy us (it wouldn't, wouldn't even hurt us terribly if an adequate replacement is bought), and/or C) putting this on the owners when Rodgers has said several times he would consider a bid of silly money for the player.

I don't believe Agger is going anywhere, and I don't believe the club are seriously considering selling him at this time. I do believe, however, that City have set a precedent of throwing around silly money and that the club/manager are aware of this and don't want to appear as hypocrites by saying Agger won't be sold then get offered 30m+ for a very injury-prone 27yo.

This hyperbole and drama gets old, quickly. It really does.

Allen, Borini and a loanee of either Tello or Afellay would be a great summer.
That way, we've kept our stars and improved the squad drastically, not just on the field but with the wage bill also.
