Real Madrid C. F. player Hamit Altintop will undergo surgery on Monday 27 June in Germany on an L3-L4 discopathy with mild discal prolapse. The injury was diagnosed after the player experienced some pain and conservative treatment failed to have a positive effect on it. Real Madrid's Medical Services have recommended surgery to take place during the player's vacation.

Where was his original position anyway? He wouldn't be missed, it'll pretty much be like the Gago situation last season. I still think Mourinho would use the double pivot more often than not next season, and will resist the temptation to play Ozil out wide where his influence in the game is reduced.

1) Keep Gago

2) stick to a 4-2-3-1 and use sahin/khedira as backup if Lass goes

Varane's not a DM guys. Pepe would be miles better than him if we need a CB to play DM... he's technically not good enough to play this role at Madrid imo.

You guys do realize that Varane has only played on an A team since November 2010 i hope.

He might play DM to get playing time you never know. I too actually think he will go on loan my point was if we needed someone for cover Varane is there.

How about getting healthy enough to play at all... forget regular playing time. Just playing time period lol.

He had opportunities to be a major contributor this year given the injuries to Khedira. He was also a viable back to Alonso so we could've rested him a few more games... we all saw how the Khedira/Lass pairing worked.

But he was not available.

I told you Altintop was a useless signing and would go wrong!

Gago is lulz, he should leave right now. He isnt even in the squad in Mou's mind. Last year he just played one 90 mins in the 2-0 of Levante, and a sub appearance one time.

Im pretty sure that by the end of it he was just chucked on the injury list a la Kaka or Guti. Gago has not a chance in hell to be relevant in Madrid again, which is a shame because he is a good player. Injuries destroyed him. Leaving is almost a foregone conclusion, unless he wants to be a squatter like Leon. Maybe he will discover form somewhere else and improve, who knows?

WTF! If we play 4-3-3 we'll need 6 central midfielders. Alonso, Sahin, Khedira,Granero, Lass and there is the problem. We might need to keep lady Gago Very Happy
