vs
Venue - Anfield.
Team news-
Fulham
Kelly, Ruiz, Grygera and Sidwell are all injured.
Liverpool
Adam and Lucas long term absentees.
Carroll should be fit after he was rested with a minor groin injury.
With the FA cup final looming, Kenny could go with a number of changes to the squad, We could see a similar squad that faced Blackburn before the Semi final match against Everton, Where Maxi, Spearing, Flano and Shelvey were given a run out.
My team

Winning this is important for three reasons:
a) feel-good factor going into the FA cup final.
b) need three points if hope to overtake Everton in the table.
c) this is Liverpool FC!
Maybe Suarez will be rested this time and Carroll playing? That'd make sense.
I'd start:
Reina
Kelly - Skrtel - Coates - Enrique
Kuyt - Gerrard - Spearing - Downing
Shelvey
Carroll
Sterling on the bench and getting subbed on would be great.

Nish, once again, wonderful work on your detailed threads. Keep it up buddy.
Line-up
Doni
Johnson-Skrtel-Agger-Aurelio
Spearing
Maxi----Gerrard---Bellers
Carroll-Suarez
Johnson impressed against Norwich as I hope to see Skrtel-Agger partnership comeback as well despite Carra's superb defensive performance against Norwich. Aurelio? Simply because Enrique needs a rest and Fabio is just class.
Spearing as the lone DM while Maxi provides his inside forward role and Bellers some of that width with Gerrard supporting Carroll with Suarez in a free role.
Its quite narrow but I would like to see it. Its important for me to see Carroll starting as I hope Kenny doesn't bench him again.

I'm thinking most of the players that were rested on the weekend will get to start while the starters from the weekend will get rested. So I see Skrtel replacing Agger, Kelly for Johnson, and Spearing, Carroll, and Kuyt all back in the line-up.

Can't see Suarez, Agger, or Gerrard starting after Kenny's comments about players being rested. Carroll will almost certainly start, and I'm hoping Coates will as well. I'd also like to see Sterling and maybe another youngster on the bench (Coady? Suso? Ngoo?).

Hopefully Coates has a good game!
Nice to see Kelly playing again, too.

Re: Liverpool vs Fulham | 1st May | 19.45 BST | Tuesday |
What a dire game. We pushed forward but created next to nothing.
Our passing was terrible. Spearing especially has this problem, half of his passes find opposition players. Tonight the whole team looked incapable of making any key passes, we just grinded the same stuff over and over again.
Coates had a good game.
Doni made two brilliant saves.
Shelvey had a poor game, careless and bad touches.
Carroll did his best, he cannot score when no one's giving him anything.
Kuyt was bad. The thought and effort is there, but too often his technique leaves him down.
Finally got to see Sterling get some minutes and he looked promising.
Overall a very blunt performance and this might have sealed Everton finishing above us...

Luckily Everton only got a point, so it's not done and dusted yet. However, things do look bleak for our league position. Nothing we can do but hope for cup glory and a good last few games in the league.

Sterling
Meh. No Reina, Johnson, Agger, Enrique, Gerrard or Suarez.
Only Skrtel is considered as part of the spine from who played today. Was unfortunate with thei goal also.

had no hope for this game to be honest, no team chemistry, lacked the drive to go and get a goal. the goal we conceded points out the type of game it was, shit.
