Re: Radamel Falcao
Yuri and nick, you disappointed me this time
@yuri,Zamorano was very powerful for his stature. Zamorano >2x Falcao.
@nick, give Higgy a year under Mou and he'll be a better poacher than Falcao. Higgy is very agile for a guy of his size, has got second acceleration (Romario had 3, hard to explain but sudden burst of speed into another direction basically). Higgy isn't as technically limited as people make him out to be. He is a real fighter, presses the sh!t out of defence etc. If we'd buy Falcao we'd be better off for 1 year with like 20% improvement over Higgy but long term, Higgy > Falcao.
Imagine a bulked up Higgy with refined shooting skills and positioning. He'd be like Batigol light edition :lol!:

Re: Radamel Falcao
I wrote somewhere before that Higgy isn't flashy enough for Madrid but it doesn't lessen his worth. I rate him very highly as striker and in my opinion he isn't finished product, yet. He has to survive one more year under Mou then he could go on however he wants. I would even follow his development at another club

Re: Radamel Falcao
I get your point babun.
But on batigol. Guy was just so physical and shot the ball so hard with deadly accuracy. Hec ould finesse it if he wanted to... But most of the time he just blasted it. Think about a cf with Roberto carlos' shot velocity. My favorite striker really. I rate him even higher than r9.

no.
Rich man's Higuain?
What has he done to prove that?
Because Higuain has played his skin out to earn his place in this team

Higuain > Falcao
A good season in the Europa League doesn't mean he deserves to play first team for us ahead of Higuain and Benz.

Re: Radamel Falcao
OK I understand that you guys love higgy because of his time here, but you have to admit that falcao is better. The man has 41 goals in 50 games for porto, he scored everywhere. He took over klinsman's record.
Higgy's best season (2009-2010) he scored almost exclusively in la liga. Mostly because many players gave him space and marked ronaldo. He couldnt score against teams that could afford to lock him down too.
and yeah goals/minute is not real that good of a stat for what we want, we have not much problems scoring a rout after an initial goal. We have problems scoring when we have less chances than the other team or in CL.

Yuri, you don't think Higuain can't improve from current level?! Perhaps Falcao is better, maybe I'm just too much of a Higuain admirer to see this as un-bias as possible but perhaps Gonzalo can improve to suit the needs of Real Madrid more...

Re: Radamel Falcao
If you are saying it that way, then maybe, I honestly dont know. He could improve and he could stay stagnant. As of right this second though Falcao is just plainly better. You have reiterated this and so has babun.
One of the things we need is someone who can constantly score goals from one touches and through balls, both which higgy cant do right now and falcao can.

Re: Radamel Falcao
That Falcao video just gave me goosebumps! Wow, just put anything in the air across the box and he'll get to it first. His response is immense. He actually reminds of a younger Inzaghi. I don't know if we necessarily need him, but I wouldn't say no to him. The guy is class
Re: Radamel Falcao
Higuain does still have a lot to prove, but we have to stick by him regardless. With Aguero/Neymar coming he will see less time but at least he is a team player
falcao was in a red hot year as well, dont forget that.

Re: Radamel Falcao
Im honestly not for buying him this year but I think we should giv higgy one more year, if he doesnt improve enough then we should try to get falcao (if falcao stays on the same level or better). Logically that seems like the best course of action TBH.

Re: Radamel Falcao
to me, seeing how we are signing Aguero/Neymar etc... it's fine to stick with higgy.
Mou is going to slowly push Ronaldo as CF i think, not a bad thing.
i dont really see the need for falcao but it's true that Higuain can still improve, and he undertsands what it means to be a team player

I dont know, Ronnie as CF doesnt sound too hot unless he loses pace and were forced to, even then id rather play him as SS (Instead of LW) as opposed to CF.

if Mou will push Ronaldo as a forward, then I believe Neymar would be the best fit to fill his role on the wing...

Ronaldo is not moving to CF. He's made it very, very clear. Only in special circumstances...

It's not going to be as conservtive as it sounds i think, it's gonna be about him occupying a posiiton in front of the defense and roaming and changing with the other forward. that's how i envision it.
both aguero and Neymar are more than able to play on the left and center (bar neymar to some extent), so they can rotate.
@sportsczy, mourinho will push him to play the position more and more. He wont be an exclusive forward like Higuain is ofc.

if u get both Neymar and Aguero and they are all playing, what happens to Ozil?
he just becomes another assuredly burnt talent, a trademark of Real Madrid?

What does this have to do with anything, the thread is about getting falcao if higgy doesnt improve enough by next year. 1 for 1. You cant shoot down any argument for any transfer by saying there will be too many players or it is unrealistic tactically.
