Then there is VdV, Bale, Adebayor who are all class, lennons a fantastic, pacy wide midfielder, Kaboul and King are rock solid, Walker is great and still really young. Parkers still great although he is getting up in his years, but Sandro can replace him, I think he'll be great with a consistent starting spot

Meanwhile Chelsea just has experience, oldies, and...Luiz and Mata Ivanovic is a great RB though

Players are just tired, and don't have the experience and consistency. It's really just a rough patch. Even Madrid have lost 6 points in very recent weeks. Not to mention some of the worst luck.

No one can doubt their class though- just cause they are going through a rough patch/ choking doesn't mean this Tottenham team isn't great. They were title contenders at a time before they hit their current form. And Tottenham, the pride of London, should be in the CL at the end of the season. And they deserve it.

He has never, not once dominated a decent midfield he looks good at average/shit midfields......

He has talent but his big game temperament has to be questioned.

Plus his creativity is extremely overrated, he is a link player nothing more nothing less.

Friedel : Good, experienced, nothing special. 6/10

Walker : Pacey and potential, 7/10

Bale : Over-rated as well, inconsistent as frak but a good player 7.5/10

Modric is extremely overrated imo.Used to get tricked by people last year because i didnt watch PL that much.Dominates shit midfields and does nothing against good ones.Keeps passing the ball left and right offering no creativity at all.

Depends on your definition of noteworthy, he's been the best Tottenham player in a while, leading them to 4th 2 years ago and being great in the CL as well as being the main man for Tottenham this year, where they will get CL again. Chelsea wanted him for what, 60 million euros?

His stats aren't amazing, he's not a star standout player in what he does each game like maybe Bale, but overall he's the guy that makes Tottenham click. I don't want him to leave because I'm not sure how that would do for Tottenham.

He's easily top 5 PL central midfielder if not the best. At least, that's what most people think, SAF included.

Btw UEFA Euro 2008 team...and you'll see him there this year as well.

Modric is not even close to being the best central midfielder in the PL,The best is a guy whose team's midfield gets dominated by Wigan when he doesnt play.

Cbarca, Cabaye has played Deeper than Modric for most of the season and he has 8 assists and 2 goals playing deep isnt a excuse although i dont care for stats.

Also Chelsea are stupid, he is'nt even worth 30 million if you base on what he does week in week out and realistic fees and ignore all the stupid fees people pay for average players.

As i said he looks good against average/shit midfields but against decent or better midfields he flops nearly every time.....

As i said he doesnt offer anywhere near enough creativity for a player of his hype he is a link player he links play but thats it which is probably why against big teams his influence is stifled.

I dont deny he is a good player but he is incredibly overrated.

To me Lennon and Bale are more important than Modric because Tottenham rely alot on width and pace and when Tottenham was at thier best those were the players providing it.

Just look at downturn in results when Redknapp changed to a narrow system with no width its no coincidence imo.
