Giaccherini set for Juve stay

The agent of Emanuele Giaccherini has rubbished reports that the Juventus man could end up at Lazio or Genoa in the summer.

The versatile midfielder, part-owned with Cesena, isn’t guaranteed first team football in Turin following his 2011 arrival.

However, agent Furio Valcareggi has told Tutto Juve that the player will continue his career in Turin.

“There is absolutely no truth in the Genoa and Lazio stories,” the representative stated. “It’s pure fantasy.

“Giaccherini is really happy at Juventus and he has a four-year contract. The club don’t intend to let him go and the player doesn’t want to leave.

“Whoever would want Giaccherini would have to pay around €10m and I don’t think that Genoa or Lazio are prepared to make that kind of investment.”

Juventus and Cesena will have to hold talks at the end of the campaign to discuss the 26-year-old’s future.

Giaccherini has appeared in 17 League games so far this season, scoring one goal in the process. He has two goals in four Coppa Italia ties.

I'm indifferent. I would be pleased if we kept him or allowed his slot to be filled by a younger player.

I wouldnt spend anymore money on him that we already have.

Giaccherini is a player u just can not contain for a whole match no matter who he plays he always find a way through, sadly he is not much of a finisher but he is definitly something special.

I dont get why u can hate on this guy he clearly is one of the few in the squad who can create some on his own sure he misses some chances but he creates so much himself.

He is a very good bench option.Very hardworking and pretty skillful as well.He has integrated well into this side.

You must admit he has surprised everyone of us with some dazzling displays.

And if we are buying him outright we wont be spending much on him,probably an additional few million euros i think.I wouldnt want to give him away just like that cuz he has been impressive so far for us.

He's an ok bench option. But if you told me that we will be playing a younger player from our youth system instead, I would be happy.
