Can Benfica Cause an upset ?

Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo has warned Chelsea that they will have to prove their favourites' tag on the pitch in Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final second-leg contest.

"It is perfectly possible to overcome a goal [deficit] in Europe.

"Chelsea's strikeforce is very good. Just mentioning their names proves that, but it is not always enough to win games."

Looking ahead to Wednesday's contest, Cardozo admitted that Benfica will have to go out on the attack from the first whistle to have a chance of going through.

"Benfica want an open and crazy game, not a tactical one," he explained. "That would suit the English, [who will look] to manage the situation with their goal advantage.

"The match is going to be very tough. We know that and we are prepared, but we are going there with the sole aim of scoring goals and winning.

"That way, we can obtain passage to the semi-finals, which is our great dream."

To do that Benfica have to play fair, if that means they have to change what their doing then they have to change.

The ref has shown parciality. He gives yellows to Benfica that he doesnt give to Chelsea in similar situations.

The penalty was a good decision. But still, Benfica have been better.

He booked four Benfica players for going up to him and debating the penalty. When was the last time you saw one player booked for talking back to the ref, nevermind four?

Should be done more. It is something that should be stopped. If you see one player getting booked for it, why continue? All I am saying is if Benfica see it happen why continue?

it's pretty sad that Benfica now has to play with 10 men against 12 men Chelsea (ref included). Don't see a way they can overturn the 2 goal deficit.
