Re: The Three Lions
England squad to play Germany and the Netherlands at the end of March:
Keepers: Joe Hart (Manchester City), Jack Butland (Stoke), Fraser Forster (Southampton)
Defenders: Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Phil Jagielka (Everton), John Stones (Everton), Chris Smalling (Manchester United), Kyle Walker (Spurs), Nathaniel Clyne (Liverpool), Ryan Bertrand (Southampton), Danny Rose (Spurs)
Midfielders: Eric Dier (Spurs), Danny Drinkwater (Leicester), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), James Milner (Liverpool), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), Ross Barkley (Everton), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)
Forwards: Harry Kane (Spurs), Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool), Jamie Vardy (Leicester), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Danny Welbeck (Arsenal)
Looking forward to these games, if only to see how we get on without Rooney stinking up the place up front.

That's a rubbish squad if it's true.
What is Heaton doing there over Butlad, Why is Shaw in there, why is Wheelchair in there and what is Albrighton doing on standby?

Re: The Three Lions
Well, Butland is injured. He was confirmed out through the Euros following that ankle injury vs Germany in the March friendly.
As for Wilshere, Arsenal fans must be dreading that potential selection. Between his total of 70-odd PL first team minutes this season, his general injury record, and Woy's absolute disregard for club/player fitness on the whole, this has the makings of ANOTHER season on the sidelines for Jack in 2016/17.

Bruhhh Albrighton is the starting player of the champions of England who have a 10 point lead.
Don't hate, appreciate.

Re: The Three Lions
It's embarrassing how bad the quality of English wingers has gotten. Sterling would be the only winger in that squad, and he's shite, actually even he is better more centrally. Milner, maybe. But basically that midfield would be nothing but CMs and AMs. Should take Albrighton and/or Antonio just because they're the least shite English wingers right now.

Yeah and we all agree he is one of the first players that needs to go from that Leicester team
@Arte Morte unless Woy wants to play 4-3-1-2, he should bring more than just Milner, Lallana and Sterling for the wings.

Also Milan Now wait, no space for him on the 4-3-1-2 (:

No need for 4 CFs in the squad. Should drop Rooney or Sturridge for a winger.

If Hodgson's going to start two of them it's all right to have all four. If that list is correct either Drinkwater or Wilshere should be dropped for

What's the point of taking Drinkwater anyways? He's just a poor man's version of Henderson.

Re: The Three Lions
Carroll offers nothing to this squad. We don't hoof it anymore, we're not a heavy crossing team, and we want our forwards to be effective at pressing and counter-attacking. He wouldn't even be good for a plan B because we'll have Vardy and Sturridge on the bench.
I wouldn't be surprised if Rooney ended up playing CM like he is for United at the moment. Also wouldn't be surprised if ended up on the left again like he was at the last World Cup.
As far as wide options go we've got Vardy and Sturridge who can fill in there. We've been hit hard here by the injuries to Welbeck and Chamberlain, and Walcott is just plain awful right now.
Drinkwater goes because he gives England a second ball-winning option in midfield while also allowing Dier to fill in at CB or RB if need be. He's got a good relationship with Vardy too and is used to playing in a counter-attacking set-up. I don't rate him that highly but can see why he would go.
Wilshere is very important to this team and had to go despite his lack of games.

England will be crossing it a lot if they need a goal in the last 15 minutes, that's just how it goes in football, all teams resort to crosses in such situations. Therefore it would make sense to have one good target man in the squad. England's forwards are all basically like-for-like.
