Re: The Three Lions
Welbeck should NOT be starting.
If Sturridge is fit for the Euros then it's a no brainer he should be the starter. If Kane can reproduce his last season form then maybe worth a punt partnering them up. But I don't think Sturridge would work with someone like Kane. He needs someone very technical and versatile next to him. If only Ox or Barkley had top quality goalscoring instincts or Sterling had a shot stronger than a toddlers.

Re: The Three Lions
If Vardy ends up being the highest-scoring English forward in the Prem this season, should he start for England at the Euros?
He's already got 11 goals.
Kane's got 5.
Rooney, Sturridge and Walcott have 2.
Inbe4 not even in the squad.

Re: The Three Lions
What's the point of playing Garrick at all, even less in a friendly, experimental, forward-looking XI like this, I'll never know.
Anyway, that's a great video game XI, but I doubt it's going to work irl.

Because he's the only holding midfielder available and we need someone in that midfield who can actually pass the ball well.

I can think of at least three players who would overall contribute more. Garrick is a passenger at his age. It's no good being a good passer at this level if players are just going to run circles around you when they have the ball and close you out of the game like a turtle when you have the ball.

He just wasn't good enough. Not everyone can be Fabian Delph. Move on, Hans. There will be others who'll look good in the lederhosen. Like me.

Re: The Three Lions
Excellent strike from Delle Alli.
England have actually looked good tonight with that Dier-Alli-Barkley midfield. Rooney out on the left not ruining everything. Kane and Sterling playing well, too.

Hodgson might have some selection headache picking the midfield for the Euros. Lots of candidates.

Re: The Three Lions
I wouldn't make any conclusions based on this game. France is barely playing... they're just counting the minutes. Emotionally drained and it shows. They're going through the motions.
