Please let's stay away from the classic messi vs ronaldo talk, Ronaldo is a great goalscorer, but performing sometimes means more than scoring, and way too often, Ronaldo has scored without performing. All those attributes are nice, sure, but it's not everything. Second to Messi means nothing in the absolute, the gap behind both is huge. fair enough its all opinions, just saying if ron is the closest thing to messi in this era (pretty close imo), but messi can be top 3 tier A, but ron is barely top 3 in tier B is criminal

that the point it just happen that messi happen to be in the same era as ron, if ron was still in the EPL he prob would've got more titles to his name etc.., i just find it wrong throwing a record breaking player for a club like madrid is tier B at best

actually ronaldo was never a great dribbler, youtube videos can not make him look good. there are at least 100 better dribblers in history, so ronaldo's dribbling would look avarage compared to others

stats also are boring, nobody remembers golden boot winners, cl top-scorers, liga top-scorers. do you remember who scored most goals in one season in serie a or in EPL? can you say who scored most goals in golden boot race in history without checking wikipedia?

That's not the average football fan though.The average football fan believes what most believe, what the media feeds them, what they can understand from stats, and what they see on youtube (for older players).

Those who decide to watch games and stuff yea....but I think Ronaldo will age better than most because of these 3 things.
