Out of curiousity, how's the standing of the Coppa Italia in Italy? In England the national cups seems to be considered of little importance, but in Germany, the DFB Pokal always has quite some standing, too (this year's final will be Bayern vs Dortmund, for example). So how do people in Italy view their Coppa?

In Italy when your team is in the final then the CUP is important but when your team lost then that is just a CUP and it isnt such a big deal.But for me a trophy is a trophy especially if we won this we will have another star (this time silver) above the club еmblem because it will be 10 Coppa for Juve.Also it will be boost for the team since they havent won nothing since 2006

The Coppa Italia despite some non-Italian fans not valuing it, is highly valued within Italia. It is held with prestige and value from big clubs and especially small clubs alike and to this day it is an honor to win the cup.

Italian's in general hold the Scudetto in great value along with the CI as this is one of the small factors which gives indifference to the EL which is not looked at as a significant achievement.

So in short, whoever does win the cup is held in high praise and the winners themselves use it as a platform to build upon their success.

It is always played in the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, since 2007. Before that, it was a 2-leg final.
