Regarding Pep Guardiola's Contract
I would like to hear from all my fellow Barcelona fans what are the various reasons that they can think of why Pep has not signed a new contract yet. Also hoping for some inside information from cat.
Re: Regarding Pep Guardiola's Contract
Not a Barca fan, I know but I think this is just Pep's mentality presenting itself that he doesn't find it logical for the club or the manager to be tied down to each other for extended periods of time but to take it year to year and analyze the situation at each season's end. I don't think he'll ever change that so it's not something I would look too far into. The only reason I can think of for anyone wanting to leave Camp Nou would be to look for a new challenge as there's really no greener pastures to search for beyond Barca.

Re: Regarding Pep Guardiola's Contract
Well he's said time and time again that he just needs time to make his decision and think it over fully and make sure he is prepared for the job, I think if he doesn't sign a new contract he might take a hiatus from coaching for a season or two maybe. That's just speculation though.

Re: Regarding Pep Guardiola's Contract
Well its hard to say. What I dont understand though is this panic (though you dont really see it from Barca fans, so yeah, perhaps it doesnt exist as much as it seems) from "people".
We dont need to know right this minute, I dont see how it has effected the team negatively and he has done this before.
Anyway, I think he wants to sign when he is happy to return. So, he must reflect on the season, reflect on the players, reflect on his health (physical and mental) and how much he and the players want to go again.
Perhaps he needs a sabatical, perhaps he can go another year, we will have to see.

Re: Regarding Pep Guardiola's Contract
I think in football, things change very quickly these days. Result dont go ur way and all of a sudden everything are not so good. I gathered also Pep doesnt like so much the Barca hierachy some of them and so wouldnt feel safe to commit longer term. And as mentioned by many the demands of the job.
There must be other factors, which is Pep's own mentality....never completely figure it out...

I think it's more of something that's in the back of everyone's mind... I just hope the CL final, if we get there, is not a factor in whether he extends or not.The Franchise wrote:Well its hard to say. Re: Regarding Pep Guardiola's Contract
He needs new stimulus ,he won everything at Barca ,it's becoming boring to him ,that's the only reason why he is waiting to renew as i see it ,he might stay a year more maybe but that will be it, in my opinion.

Yeahhhhhhhhhh I dont know how bored a coach would be by getting to manage players like Lionel Messi and winning trophies every season.

Excellent comment man. That's why I have never really bought that argument.

Not heard anything concrete so far.
Re: Regarding Pep Guardiola's Contract
Thanks for the replies everyone. I agree with the idea that none of us know for sure what is happening. As for the suggestion that he is having problems with the hierarchy, I hope not because after all Rosell did do everything possible in the transfer market as per Pep's wishes.
If Pep doesn't stay beyond this summer then he must do one of two things to avoid hurting me very badly - take a long break from coaching or take on the reins of Argentina. I can't explain how sickening it will be to see him coach Inter Milan or Chelsea next season.

There is a difference between putting uncertainty and pressure on them. Not needed pressure all be it

Re: Regarding Pep Guardiola's Contract
The media is blowing things way out of propotion. As long as he hasn't said he's leaing, we should all be cool and expect him to stay. No reason for him to leave at all.
