with the new iOS update people on ATT are getting 4g mark on their phone even though it still HPSA+...... and alot of iPhone think they are getting 4g speeds when they aren't

I remember one of Sony's developers telling the press that they originally had significantly better hardware in mind for the console, but it would make the PS3 too expensive for the average consumer, so they decided to wait until these upgrades would be cheaper to mass-produce. The PS3 commercials and ads may have exaggerated the product, but I don't remember them bragging about hardware and specifics.

Can I ask why people buy these every year?

I just don't understand. Unless they make major improvements every year (which...they're never MAJOR improvements) then I don't see the need to buy a new one (and spend the extra $500, or $300 if you sell the old one- they cost $500 right?)

It makes a lot more sense to buy one every two years, hell, every 3 years, unless you break it.

The camera on the ipad 2 is pretty shitty, shouldve been this good (ipad 3) from the first iPad.

from apple's perspective, they dominate the market with ipad2, its still the best tablet out there, so why come up with something "revolutionary"? They will wait until other tech companies catch up with them and then release ipad 3!

So its something fun for everybody, to keep their name out there, to boost sales, and you might consider getting this one if you have ipad 1, just because you waited long enough!

TBF, making the display Retina is pretty huge in itself. Besides change the look of the device, what more could they have really done? Quad core? Okay, but in iOS how much is that really going to boost performance? Most apps can't even utilize quad core at this point anyway. 128GB capacity? That'd be nice, sure. I can't really think of much else. They doubled the RAM to 1GB, added a Quad Core GPU that outperforms the Tegra3, added retina display with a resolution that's higher than 95% of HDTV's(watch a movie side by side iPad 2 and 3 and you wouldn't be able to go back to the 2's screen), added 4G LTE and improved the camera as well. Just my opinion but I think it's more of a significant improvement than 1 to 2.

What happen to phones getting smaller and not walking around with bricks? Have not seen a phone with a decent camera yet. Do what they will or want but compare it to a Canon EOS camera and the phone camera at 1080p the pixels are as big as Golf balls on the 1000USD Smuckphone.
