Del Piero in link with Arsenal

Tuttosport is today claiming that Alessandro Del Piero could join Arsenal once his Juventus contract expires in the summer.
The Turin-based newspaper is suggesting that the forward is on the transfer shortlist of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
The Frenchman would apparently like to use the Italian veteran’s experience as a learning tool for the younger elements of his squad.
Del Piero, a World Cup winner with Italy, is now 37 and has scored just one goal in 17 games this term across Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
Signed by the Bianconeri in the summer of 1993 from Padova, Juve have already confirmed that they won’t be offering the club captain a new deal.
It was believed that Del Piero would be tempted by a move to America or Asia next.

Del Piero never needs A and B because his ball control,vision,tech and dribbles are to damn good plus he is not easy to take down as you think he is. If this happens ( I think its BS report) I dare to say he will add more than Henry did this season and even more than that he can single handedly take the defenses which is big bonus

Biggest joke rumor I've read so far.
Del Piero has trouble playing 90 mins in Serie A right now. There's no way he goes to Arsenal. Don't get me wrong, the guy is a legend. He does not need the embarrassment of going to the Premier League and continuing to not start and contribute little.
I'm personally hoping he ends up in MLS.
Biggest joke rumor I've read so far.

Ignorance displayed at its best. This rumour is fabricated, like most, and it should be taking with a pinch of salt, but if it does come to fruition, or hypothetically speaking, Del Piero would make a good player for Arsenal, and not because of his ability on the field, but off it as well. He is a great role model, a top professional who all youngsters should aspire to become, and has the experience of winning a trophy, something most Arsenal players don't quite have at the moment, with all due respect.

Again, if he's free and his wages aren't bordering on ridiculous, then sure, he'd make a great addition, add experience and he's a proven goalscorer. But if we want to actually be in contention for the league next season, i'm afraid we need more than an ageing legend

Love him and he would be a great addition wherever he goes. He could come off the bench and definitely make an impact for Arsenal, even at his age in a new league.
However, I really really doubt that there's any sort of truth to this rumor. I think he's coming to the US soon. Maybe I will get to meet him some time if I wear my ADP shirt more often and I get really lucky
