Re: Abra meets with Löw
I particularly love this part:
Bei Werder Bremen wurde Magath als Strafe für die verwöhnten Spieler verpflichtet und sagt später selbst dazu:
„Hinterher habe ich erfahren, dass Willi Lemke den Spielern gesagt hat: ‚Das habt ihr jetzt davon, jetzt kommt der Magath‘.“
At Werder Bremen, Magath was contracted as punishment for the pampered players and commented this later himself:
"Afterwards I learned that Willi Lemke told the players 'It's all your own fault - now you'll get Magath.' "

Re: Abra meets with Löw
Magath is the son of a former Puerto Rican soldier in the United States Army stationed in Aschaffenburg and a German mother. Both were abandoned by his father in 1954, when he returned to his homeland. The adolescent Magath first heard from his father when he was 15 years old, after he wrote a letter to Puerto Rico. In 1999, he visited Puerto Rico and finally met his father. They established a relationship and started visiting each other twice a year ever since.

Do you have proof that it is the truth? No?
Also, you are not the only one who is irritated yet you are the only one who turned petty. Take it like a man, I am no more happy about it than you are.

Re: Abra meets with Löw
Well, Magath did have 43 caps for the German NT, so he was obviously German enough
Another quote from Wikipedia:
Seine harten Trainingsmethoden, etwa die Arbeit mit Medizinbällen, gaben ihm von Anfang an die Spitznamen Saddam und Quälix.
„Ob Felix Magath die Titanic gerettet hätte, weiß ich nicht. Aber die Überlebenden wären topfit gewesen.“
– Jan Åge Fjørtoft (nach dem Klassenerhalt 2000 mit Eintracht Frankfurt)
His hard training methods - for example the work with medicine balls - gave him the nicknames "Saddam" and "Quälix" right from the start.
"Whether Felix Magath would have saved the Titanic I do not know. But the survivors would have been in perfect shape."
- Jan Åge Fjørtoft (after Eintracht Frankfurt narrowly escaped relegation in the year 2000)

Re: Abra meets with Löw
You know, I'm not sure how successful Low would be at club level. Club management and international management are two different beasts and quite often one succeeds at one but fails at the other.

Re: Abra meets with Löw
Maybe Abramovich wants to ask Löw about his opinion which German coach would be most fitting for Chelsea?

Re: Abra meets with Löw
BTW Löw was in Switzerland for a Mercedes promotional event, he probably did not meet Abramovitch to discuss a job offer, or at least not to seriously discuss ist.
Chelsea want a German? While I'm loving the Magath idea, since it's the best way to get a couple of overpaid players in line, his training methods will probably kill the older ones.
Go for a real bargain and hire Rangnick on the cheap before Bayern do after the upcoming sacking of Heynckes.
Or, if they're willing to invest in a proper squad restructure, get Tuchel (Mainz coach). They're all obtainable, affordable, and tactically brilliant.
