Rafa ready to rescue Blues and Torres maybe?
Rafa Benitez will agree to take over the Chelsea job if he is offered it as an immediate replacement for under-fire Andre Villas-Boas, according to ESPNsoccernet sources.

Rafa cannot fix the over the hill squad or a Torres who has lost nearly all his mobility.

Yes I agree with you but AVB has lost the respect of the team and the owner and he is on borrowed time. Rafa might no solved their problems but its a start.
I think when they get kick out of CL AVB will be fired.

Re: Rafa ready to rescue Blues and Torres maybe?
Players gonna Skype with Mou even more lol....Rafa......If you want happy players Rafa aint the way to go.
Other than Torres of course.
What I suspect is that it would mean immediate end to the 4-3-3, Torres lone striker....Mata AM free role....
4-4-1-1 or 4-2-3-1
Which will force all the chances to Torres and bring him back to form

How do you or we know he has lost the respect of the players?
And if he has, maybe thats says something about this batch of players.
Scolari, Carlo and then AVB? None of them good enough? Plu-ease...how about they shut their mouths, stop complaining about listen to proven winners?
This group is largely over the hill anyway, half of them shouldnt be playing as often as they do now. They seem to have the same ego's they had in their peaks, how about they play like it?

Well the reason being given is AVB has lost the dress.I suspect Rafa won't even be able to find it.

Re: Rafa ready to rescue Blues and Torres maybe?
AVB will turn out very good for Chelsea eventually. They should just stick with him. However, I can see him getting sacked if they get knocked out by Napoli. Rafa is not the right guy to fix Chelsea. Chelsea need to buy new players, and Rafa's transfer record (bar the Alonsos and Torres etc) is pretty piss poor. He is not the right man for them.

I agree with Steve to an extent. Sherlock's almost done with rejuvinating the squad anyway. Rafa's way too Offensive Mentally to take on Chelsea.

I think Rafa is a brilliant manager. I rate him quite high but not his transfer policies. I just dont think he is the right man for the Chelsea job. Chelsea should keep AVB. Before Simeone, I actually wanted Rafa at Atletico.

Re: Rafa ready to rescue Blues and Torres maybe?
Don't want Rafa, he can't fix Torres.
As for the loss of the dressing Room, all the players who don't listen are 30+ so they won't be around much longer. Thats if he has lost the Dressing room.
The younger players, Romeu, DL4, Mata, Sturridge all listen and do what he wants and as they are our future it won't be a problem in seasons to come.
