USA national team
Why? Why are we so bad? Seriously, they're so much better than losing to panama, barely beating Guadalupe, and sucking rectum against Jamaica.. And it's not like they're suffering from bad luck, they just flat out play like absolute garbage. I feel like I'm watching a pee wee league match, except with less talent.
Does anyone else think it's time give Bradley the boot? Rafa, ancelotti, klinsmann, Lippi, would all do wonders for this unimpressive side. At first I just laughed it off as comical play, but now it's really starting to upset me.

As long as it gets Bradley fired I'd be ok with losing to the British Virgin Islands

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Bradley have a contract until the 2014 World Cup? I think it's time for a change.

You are correct, penned just after WC 2010
His contract ends after WC 2014 is complete

Yep, now all they need is a defender to guide their shots into the back of the net every game, and they'll never lose!

Hold on guys no need for kneejerks here. U.S are in a bit of a slump, atm, but I think getting Bradley fired would be a bit rash, don't you guys think?

Weren't the US pretty decent at the WC? I thought they were one of the better teams, especially chemistry-wise they were probably one of the two or three best squads out there.

i never thought bradley was any good. he actually made some poor decisions during the WC, but we still managed to do ok in spite of them.
im not calling for his head, but i dont have a problem if skeletor gets sacked. especially if the gold cup is an absolute flop

Re: USA national team
Its because when Americans see the ball the first thing they think of is picking it up instead of kicking it.
This is why American goal keepers tend to do pretty well

they tied england, tied slovenia, then beat algeria 1-0. but they lost to ghana 2-1 because brilliant bob bradley decided to bench they very much inform edu for ricardo clark and clark blew it, up and down the pitch. if torres, edu, or beasley would've started in clarks place, then i firmly believe usa would have beat ghana. and starting robbie findley was not the smartest thing to do

Re: USA national team
Well also the US got screwed by the refs like no other nation.
Not in the crucial game against Ghana, granted, but against Slovenia and Algeria they got humungously shafted.

Re: USA national team
Bradley is like Woy Hodgson
He's a decent small time manager, knows how to play and motivate as the underdog, but he can't manage for shit as the favored team
If we ever want to make it to the big time he needs to go

Re: USA national team
Klinsmann is the most obvious pipedream appointment. Then there's the possibility of luring a journeyman like Hiddink, though he seems set to take over Chelsea at this point.

Re: USA national team
My personal choice would be Bielsa, but Gulati is far too much of a powermonger to let someone like that takeover
as red mentioned, Klinsmann is the more likely choice, and I support that as well
I dont particularly like hiring foreign coaches for our national team, but what else can we do?

Agreed. I'm another that would've liked Klinsmann.

Re: USA national team
Why the kneejerk thread?
I just got back from RFK, the boys put in a very, very solid shift today against what was the cream of the crop in the group stages, who couldn't sustain possession at all today.
Bob got it right today, from Bedoya starting all the way down to sitting Donovan down in the first half.

Re: USA national team
Personally I think bradley is a good coach, I just think were in a bit of a transition phase, with agudelo anothers coming throughthe ranks and landon and others slowing down a bit (albeitnot much), so were in a transition phaee where were figuring out exactly what to do. Also, I dont think we need to worry cuz we still step it up in the big games.
