Evra ADMITTED to saying something insulting about Suarez's sister. However the first rule that Suarez was charged for violating, apparently doesn't apply to Evra. Surprise Surprise.
Somehow Evra's words in SPANISH are allowed to be interpreted as a figure of speech, but what Suarez says is taken literally.
Since we're at it now then, where is all the hate towards Ferdinand for not shaking Suarez's hand?
"Cuncha de Hermana" (not sure if that's the exact spelling or phrase) is like saying "f*cking hell" in Spanish according to the linguistic experts. It was said when there was just a verbal exchange between the two.
Suarez's statements were made when there was clear hostility between the two.
According to the report that was the difference.

Only after Suarez started the whole not shaking thing.
If I were Evra's team mate (even if I didn't like him) I would have done the same thing. that's just me though.

THAT is the point I'm making. When it comes to Evra, we can translate it as a figure of speech, but for Suarez it isn't applicable?

So we criticize Suarez for an action, but when Rio sinks to that level of "unsportsmanship" it's fine? The heat of the moment argument is suddenly applicable?
Not to mention the taunting at the end of the game which was rather deliberate. But somehow Suarez will get all the headlines once again.

Suarez had it coming bro, I'm not saying that what Evra and Rio did were right or any better but they got their pay back for Suarez's childishness.
There are no victims here, just grown men acting like children and Suarez was the biggest child for starting this whole mess. No sympathy from me.

Would shake a person's hand who has wrongfully lead to the entire country labeling you a racist? I know I wouldn't.

I know how you feel, in fact I'm not shaking Evra's hand at this very moment, that will teach.
Have to love that popular consensus here seems to be serves Evra right for being black in Suarez's presence.

Evra states in the report that he doesn't believe Suarez is a racist.
He accused Suarez of using racist language, which based on all the evidence he probably did.

Jesus man, Suarez was done for using racist language, not insulting. How is what evra said racist? Your post doesn't make sensepoolsupporter wrote:The ban is done.

Re: Suarez shuns evra handshake
The same linguistic experts deemed what Suarez said as being not insulting, only for FA to go ahead and disregard all of it. They pointed out the flaws in Evra's statement as to what he heard was wrong as well.
Either way, I'm done with this. It was no fun in the first thread and it definitely isn't changing minds here. So with that, I'm out.

As far as I'm concerned Liverpool lost all rights to complain about this after they didn't appeal, that is an admission of acceptance and of moving on.

The first rule that got Suarez banned for four games deals with offensive language on the pitch.
The second part to that rule, which got him another 4 games deals with use of references to color.

Re: Suarez shuns evra handshake
lol Suarez isn't a racist, people need to learn the definition of the word first, but what he said to Evra was racist. For God's sake, can people stop defending him? He admitted what he said, too, he isn't in U-r-gay you know..

Link me to that. Suarez wasnt banned for four games because of petty insults. Didn't happen

Hold on a minute pool supporter, the experts agreed that the language Suarez used could only be insulting in the context they were used. You literally made that up

There is no way insulting language carries the same four game ban as racist language, nor have I heard that brought up before. I just don't believe you
