Modric does for Spurs what Wilshere did for us last season and a more dynmaic version of what Arteta does now. He's a great player.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger won't give Tottenham a free run at Lille star Eden Hazard.
The Sun says the attacking midfielder has revealed he may join Tottenham.
Arsenal had been favourites to land Hazard, 21, who has a release clause of £33million.
Hazard admitted: "Maybe it will be Tottenham — they're a big English club. I said I would go to England and they have some very good players there."
But Emirates chief Arsene Wenger, who rates Hazard highly, will fight them all the way.

Arsenal have lined up Spain Under 21 striker Rodrigo as a potential replacement for Robin van Persie but face a battle with Inter Milan to prise him away from Benfica. (Daily Mail)
Getting linked to Rodrigo on a daily basis, which implies ARSENAL WON'T SIGN HIM.

Koln to punish Podolski over contract outburst
Cologne have announced that they intend to punish Podolski over the outburst as breaking the terms of his contract, and are still determined to try and extend the midfielder’s contract. Here’s what they had to say: “We have decided as a club not to tolerate this kind of interview but rather to sanction them,”
“We will certainly make use of the freedoms we have in his contract of employment to clear things up and make it clear to everybody that even Lukas Podolski must respect the rules”
.
“It is not the first time that such a situation has arisen. We have got to make it clear what rights and duties the players have and that Lukas must respect them – they apply to every player.”
“Our position and our priority to extend his contract as soon as possible remains unaltered,”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
God is coming to Arsenal look busy.

Re: Latest Arsenal Rumours
Hazard reveals interest in Arsenal switch
Eden Hazard has hinted a move to Arsenal this summer would be best for his career just days after stating he would be happy to leave Lille for Tottenham.
Hazard has recently been linked with Paris St Germain, plus Premier League clubs Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea. The 21-year-old sparked rumours of an imminent transfer to Spurs with his comments earlier this week, but has now revealed their north London rivals could be his club of choice.
"There are several clubs that interest me in England and Arsenal is really a part," Hazard told Foot Sport magazine. "Of course, it's always more fun when the football is beautiful. In addition, at Arsenal, there is a French coach and French players, as well as my compatriot Thomas Vermaelen."
Though Hazard's next club remains unclear, the Belgian playmaker again declared his preference for a switch to the Premier League from the reigning Ligue 1 champions.
"That's the championship where I think I can express myself better," said Hazard. "Where I can learn more, too. It's difficult to explain why, it's a question of feeling.
"The level of the matches, the atmosphere in the stadiums, this is still well above anything I've experienced so far in France and that attracts me. And I know many people in England - this is another added attraction."

Re: Latest Arsenal Rumours
Chelsea pull out of race to sign Eden Hazard as Tottenham move into
pole position
The Stamford Bridge club have let it be
known that they will pursue alternative targets while Spurs step up
their interest in the Belgian sensation

EXCLUSIVE

Chelsea
have pulled out of the running to sign Eden
Hazard as Tottenham
move closer to a deal for the Lille
sensation despite failing in a spectacular bid to sign him in late
January, Goal.com can disclose.
The Belgian playmaker has said in interviews this week that he wants
to move to the Premier League in summer, and has spoken particularly of
his admiration for Spurs and Arsenal.
Chelsea were widely regarded as one of the favourites to land the £35
million-rated (€42.3m) Hazard, not only because of their financial
might and relative lack of creative star quality but because of their
links to the top Belgian youngsters following the recruitment of Romelu
Lukaku, Thibaut Courtois and Kevin de Bruyne in the last two transfer
windows.
As revealed by Goal.com, Chelsea spoke to the player’s
representatives last month but senior Stamford Bridge figures have now
let it be known that they will not pursue one of the hottest properties
in Europe over the coming months.
“Chelsea are not going to sign Hazard,” a source told Goal.com. “They
said, ‘we know him and like him but we are not going to do it’.”
Tottenham have emerged as the new favourites to sign the 21-year-old
in a week in which Hazard publicly declared he would be interested in a
move to White Hart Lane and his father, Thierry, suggested it would be a
smart career move.
Goal.com can also reveal that Spurs were close to completing the
shock signing of Hazard in the final days of the January window and will
make a concerted effort to prise him from Lille again in the summer
recess.
Hazard and his agent John Bico had a meeting with Spurs boss Harry
Redknapp last month, while chairman Daniel Levy and fellow director
Darren Eales travelled to France on at least two occasions to hold talks
with Lille.
Redknapp ran a personal check on Hazard when he flew out to watch him
in action in mid-January at the Stade Velodrome against Loic Remy's
Marseille.
Forty-eight hours before the window closed last month, Spurs thought
they were close to pulling off what would have been a sensational coup
but an agreement could not be reached with the Ligue 1 club.
Lille, who tied the player to an extended contract last summer that
runs until 2015, value Hazard at around £35 million (€42.3m) and there
are widespread reports in France and Belgium that he has a €40m release
clause in his contract.
However, Hazard’s camp believe Lille’s price tag is merely a starting
point in negotiations and that the player could be bought for less than
£30m (€36.2m), possibly even £25m (€30.2m).
With Chelsea out of the running and Arsenal an increasing outsider,
Hazard’s options are narrowing if he is as committed to a move to the
Premier League as he has said in separate TV and magazine interviews
this week.
Speaking to Sport Foot Magazine, Hazard said: “Who does not
dream of Real Madrid? Or Barcelona? I’m obviously not against the idea.
But I am convinced that, for now at least, the ideal for me would be
England.”
His father added: “Yes, there is interest from Spurs, and no, there's
no offer. The priority for Eden is one thing: games. Opportunities. It
might be better to join a club just below the biggest.”
Manchester City remain a possible destination for Hazard, and have
the financial clout to blow most of their competitors out of the water,
but they are believed to have other priorities in the transfer market
this summer.
Nevertheless, Patrick Vieira, the club’s football development
executive and an influential figure at Etihad Stadium, is believed to be
a big admirer of Hazard’s match-winning ability, which has yielded nine
goals and six assists in league competition this season.

Re: Latest Arsenal Rumours
Anyone of you watched this guy closely this season?
Jordy Clasie of Feyenoord
Jordy Clasie really is amazing. Can pass the ball effortlessly. Compared to Xavi.
When I saw the Xavi links, I was like 'yeh right', but he really does play incredibly similar to Xavi.
http://t.co/hILDpzj5
We have Wilshere to return, and we need a DM and an AM more than a CM, but one to watch.
