Because Maldini's fantastic coaching career has proved he has an eye for talent? Oh wait...

I think Maradona and Pele have proved that you can be a great player and yet have a worthless opinion.

Though truth be told every word of Maldini whether football or outside oozes with intelligence and insight. Yet I do agree his naming of Ramos as his heir was a tad bit far-fetched. It commenced from when Maldini and Ramos had their famous meeting in which they got along a little too well; hence the bias.

Yeah, Maldini is a bit of a fanboy when it comes to Sergio.

Barilete is as sly as it gets when it comes to Sergio and Alonso though. Most people just bash hard and praise hard, but BC never misses the chance to take a measured dig at either Laughing

In my defense Id like to clarify that I watched the replay on a mobile phone and it looked like Ramos to me, but after being criticized for wrongly pointing that out I watched it again on my laptop and I was indeed wrong.

That being said I still think people praise his attacking contributions and forget about his sometimes atrocious defending, which was my original point.

Have u seen ppl on GL praising him ? He's a Madrid player after all. Ramos is clutch. Always has been. His problem is that he lacks a brain(or at least sometimes)

PS : GL even doubt Ronaldo ffs

I disagree.

It's more along the lines of people who just happen to catch the couple games a season where he's locked in, and think that's what he does consistently.Yet, if you peruse this thread, and the countless others made to bash him over the years, you'll realize this group is in the minority.

The majority is the people that praise hard and bash hard, and they're the ones that got it right.

I remember I started a thread a while ago, either on goal or GL, about which defender was the best in dead balls and a large number of people said Ramos. He even defies the GL jinx :bow:

Seriously now, how many mistakes needs this guy before he's sold by the Real Madrid management like all the other players before? It's like they don't pay attention to the defence at all.

He's not even a club legend, he loves the club fair play to him but is that really enough to ignore all these mistakes? This is an honest question, not trolling.

Thanks Fußball, you're right, that thought provides some consolation.

It's pretty probable, too. Practically no elbow in 180 minutes against us, he's got some catching up to do to get to his usual once every 4 minutes ratio.
