That's a valid opinion, but Di Stefano at 16th?

Di Stefano after Puskas? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
that's lack of knowledge right there, that poll is hence void

Some people actually believe Puskas was the better player actually, not that far fetched. I've read multiple Real MAdrid books and some of the players said that Puskas was the best but Di Stefano was a bigger star, if you get my drift. I have seen a few games and from the way they described him and what I watched, Di Steefano reminds me more of CR7 than anyone else bar the petulence and not showing up when it matters.
o and this
Lyttleton: The iconic forward single-handedly (literally) inspired Argentina to the 1986 World Cup, and was successful in both Spain and Italy, winning trophies with Barcelona and Napoli. Controversial and outrageous, but also utterly brilliant, Diego remains THE best player ever, and has to be my first pick. Goals are not going to be a problem in this side. Christmas parties might be.

The moron clearly watched a differnet WC than me, and no mentioning of Maradonas poor WC in 1990. Pathetic tbh. Can't stand this clueless fools.

Maicon is like 20 places above Eto'o and Totti. Need I say more?

16 Milan players in that list, not including those with short spells like Ronaldo, Rivaldo, R80....

Jibers, problem is that Di Stefano ws one of the most rounded footballer ever to play. h was tracking back like rooney, playmaking, scoring, performing when it mattered, being a leader. He was literally everywhere on the pitch.

Again so being more complete and tracking back makes you > ? I'm just saying it's not taht far fetched, Puskas was an amazing player, and Herrera even said that he feared Pusckas more than he feared Di Stefano, so that gived you some idea. The football they played in their time was 6 years ahead of its time, where it not for Herrera they would be the undisputed greatest team of all time. Their football was breathtaking too watch especially with the flicks and tricks.

Re: Sports Illustrated's Top 160 players ever
i think you guys are missing the point here....this is a draft list not a list of the best players....
the writers had a choice to pick 16 players for their team out of the pool of all the players who have ever played....

ffs Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at 111 ahead of Gullit, Raul, Seedorf etc Many more stupid choices, that's terrible list, but that's how draft works, they choose they favourite players.
