Flawed logic:

It's alright to surround the ref, and players not getting cards for surrounding the ref is alright, but if anyone dares to separate the players, then he deserves a yellow.

When other teams crowd the referee and argue over a yellow ... they get another yellow ... when Barca crowds the referee at every foul ... they get nothing .. logic ? There is no logic when it comes to Barcelona :lucas:

Who said this? I certainly didn't. Whoever said that is wrong. I really don't know if this is directed toward me, but here ya go. There is a big difference between what I said and what you're implicating, buddy

I'm against crowding the referee. I wish Barca didn't do it and I want stricter punishment for it. I'm all for this. And I never said Madrid players couldn't get involved. They can. But if they push around players and cause a stir up trying to be an 'enforcer' like Iker trying to be the bodyguard for the ref or something, yes- you will almost always get a yellow. And you should. For unsportsmanlike conduct.

I'm sorry, do we live in a world where the ref now appoints someone on the team to be his bodyguard? No. I don't think so. So why is Iker trying to do that?

You guys are Madrid fans so I totally understand that you see it like this. But let's take a look at the facts.

Barca players crowd the ref because Lass should get a deserved second yellow (there should be some yellows given out to Barca for this for crowding the ref, but unfortunately that's not how it works in La Liga), the referee is doing fine and nothing is going 'wrong' before Iker comes along as this white knight "savior" of the referee. You are not the bodyguard of the ref, Iker. You know what happens next? Heated argument starts, more Madrid AND Barca players get involved and this crowding the ref has now gotten out of hand.

What if a fight broke out? You realize this is how fights break out, and that is why Iker deserves the yellow. He might think he was protecting the ref, but all in all what he did was get the situation heated, and ready for a fight. Iker singlehandedly took what was a fairly controlled situation in the referees hand, to an uncontrolled situation where the referee had to hand out more cards to more people because of Iker.

Iker protected the ref so that the barca players wouldn't affect his judgment(it was a yellow i know)

Don't know why he got a yellow though, however if it kept lass on it was worth it.
