I believe he should lead Argentina at the 2014 world cup i really do.He's way better than all Argentinian FB's out there.He deserves the captain's armband more than that NT flop.

Not at all surprised by this performance from Zanetti. He proves with every great showing in matches of this magnitude that age is but a number. A footballer is done with the sport when they stop believing that and I don't think Zanetti will ever go down that path and that can only bode well for Inter.

Absolutely legendary. Deserves to be among the greatest full-backs of all time. A true GOAT.

its funny how the NT team coach dropped him from the 2006 world cup squad coz he was "too old", and he was robbed again in 2010 coz Maradona saw a dream..... Mad

When he wasnt called up 2 years ago i bet my friends that we'll see him in 2014. This guy deserves to win a WC, and even if that means Messi will win it too its okay, i can live with it as long as Zanetti becomes a world champion

when he won the CL, the look in his face was outstanding, as if a dream came true to him, so i wanted him to complete his dreams, and win the WC, but i was affraid
