Would you sacrifice Alonso in order to play Ozil and Sahin at CM?

Would you sacrifice Alonso and play a DM instead with Ozil and Sahin at CM, or would you have Alonso as a DLP with a DM and Ozil at AM?

im going to stand by the assumption that ozil is not a CM. at best he is a CAM who comes from a little bit deeper. doesnt have the endurance, or defensive mind to take on defensive duties that come with being a CM.

I appreciate Alonso as a player, but he's not a real DM, he's a CM who should work with more than one player next to him. Remember Alonso, Mascherano and Gerrard? Something like that would work for him, but the team cannot afford to play something like that imo. DiMaria and Ronaldo on the wings...

I think Madrid are suffering alot from sacrificing sahin by playing alonso.

As much as I like Xabi and feel he is a great player, I really think we should give Sahin a firm stint as our Deep lying playmaker. Since Alonsos arrival we really have not won anything of note or beat Barca properly and im starting to think maybe he just does not have what it takes to dictate our game on a championship level. Nuri Sahin is purely brilliant and I believe he is the future of Madrids midfield. I follwed Sahin all the time when he was at Dortmund and his class cant be tought. He's truly a gifted player.

Alonso is over-rated

I think the reason a lot of fans rated Alonso really highly is because our squad lacked competent playmakers until Sahin arrived.

lol what? alonso has been immense in our midfield.. hes more than a competent play maker.. sahin cant replace him now and ozil fits am position better

Against Barca?

sahin is not ready yet to start in these games. against teams like barca, we need a destroyer type dm such as lass (or pepe vs barca), and alonso who is a mix of defensive mid and center mid. then we need an attacking mid: ozil. mourinho ruined our offense by putting 3 defensive mids so we had 0 chances of building a proper attack.
