Yes
Still not 100% official though.
And for all the trolls, do you sincerely believe he's going to be a starter?

Re: Borriello to Juve a done deal
you guys are massively underrating borriello. Hes probably the best mediocre striker in serie a, id prefer him over the likes of osvaldo, matri, milito, etc.

He can never be an upgrade over Quagligol or Vucinic in my view

Re: Borriello to Juve a done deal
He will be a decent bench option I believe, offers a different style to Matri. A style more suited to ploughing a lone striker role with back to goal against deep defences.
It's a signing with a view to securing better players in the summer. In fact the whole market of Caceres-Pizarro-Borriello impacts very little on the funds for the summer.

Re: Borriello to Juve a done deal
why would Borriello accept a bench role at Juve? I mean he is not happy with it at Roma would he accept it in Juve?
I would rather live in Rome than Turin.

*sigh* at this point i almost hope juve field quagliarella borriello and pepe 100% of the time just so they can remain undefeated and prove all their doubters wrong

They might be a good team, however they are far from unbeatable. They seem to struggle against all teams that play open flow counter-attacking football (Napoli and Udinese), and they might have not lost but they were put in bay by a well off-form Inter and took them to the final minute to beat Milan. They are a force to be reckon with however the competition currently is too much for Juventus alone to deal with, the season has much to uncover as well and this does not guarantee Juventus the league, nor it even guarantee a CL spot but it gets them pretty close.
Inter put as at bay? Shure they had chances but Matri missed 2 clear open goals with no GK on them. Milan didn't see the ball for whole game. Every game we have 74 % posession ffs pay respect guys where its due lol. No team so far put us at bay.
74%?
vs Udine 54
Roma 53
Inter 54
Lazio 54
Fiorentia 55
Milan 55
etccc
And when ur were playing vs small teams its mostly around 55-65 and vs bigger you had slighty more possesion.

So respect to what again?
Oh and
"Shure they had chances but Matri missed 2 clear open goals with no GK on them."

[quote="zarola"] Is that the same Pepe that's got the same amount of assists as Pirlo and scored more goals than Pazzo/Milto combined?zarola wrote:*sigh* at this point i almost hope juve field quagliarella borriello and pepe 100% of the time just so they can remain undefeated and prove all their doubters wrong
Quag? Show Quag some more respect than that mate. Ridiculous comment, I'm sure you'd love him at inter

Re: Borriello to Juve a done deal
Probably an upgrade to Matri as a lone striker
Downgrade of Quagliarella in the same role.
I am still unsure of the role he will play, Conte has struggled to use two prima puntas in Quagliarella/Matri effectively. He had players like Toni, Iaquinta and Lord Amauri who also never saw the field.
Its an interesting move, definitely not a long term fix, I never saw that this was a position that needed reinforcement but hopefully this just serves as motivation to clear the wages of Amauri and Iaquinta off of the books.

Re: Borriello to Juve a done deal
Why Borriello? He is such an average footballer, only had one decent season in his career with Milan (which happened to be his last season). You do need quality strikers, as in back ups, for Matri as Quagliarella isn't a favourite under Conte for some bizarre reason.

Marotta said a big investment for a striker will be made in June. So your wrong on that one st nick. It's more like we will go from someone like Borriello in Jan to someone like Damiao or Higuain in june
