Higuain to Juventus
According to LaStampa, which is the Journal of Juventus owners iirc, Juventus willing to drop a 29M offer to acquire Higuain.
The fact that Benzema has gained an edge on their rivalry this season is leading clubs to tempt Higuain away from Madrid. Chelsea would be the other club interested, given that Anelka is leaving, Drogba is old, and Torres is a flop.

Youd only spend 20m on Higuain but youd spend 20m of Angelo Ogbonna?

Let's not go into an Ogbonna debate. Higuain is awesome but I'd prefer spend 30 on Rossi or DamiaoLynx100 wrote:Youd only spend 20m on Higuain but youd spend 20m of Angelo Ogbonna?

I know youre trying to prevent another Ogbonna debate and I appreciate that but I think iits a point that cannot be overlooked if you make the claim that you did above. I think its a legitimate point...
(lets not dwell of Ogbonnas talent here)
- Everyone will agree that currently Ogbonna is not world class (Now I can say so as well after watching him play) now but lets just say, for arguments sake, that he has the potential to be WC
- Higuain is far closer to world class than Ogbonna now and is playing for one of the best teams in the world as well as leading the strike force for Argentina, and his potential to hit WC is certainly equal to, if not more than, Ogbonna. He is a proven player who is Integral to Real Madrid.
How can you rate him and Ogbonna the same??? It makes absolutely no sense to me AT ALL
Secondly:
As for only spending 20m on Higuain and 30m on Rossi or Damiao... again, to me, makes no sense AT ALL
How is Higuain 10m inferior to Rossi or Damiao???!?!

Not to mention not worth 30M- even after his last season that was a stretch
If he can be bought for cheap in the summer I'm game but Higuain is the better option.

I'd gladly spend 20-30m on Higuain... 1 goal every 3.1 shots is out of this world. 12 goals from just 7 starts has got to tell you something as well.

Re: Higuain to Juventus
Spot on dude. Higuain is on a different level then Rossi. For one he's proven in Spain and for Argentina and has CL experience. Damiao is nowhere near worth 30mil in my books. I would never pay that much for a talent just about to leave Brazil. Rossi on the other hand is not worth more then 20 imo. And his current injury could just lower his price tag even more. People are so quick in splashing cash its ridiculous.Lynx100 wrote:pasquale22 wrote:Let's not go into an Ogbonna debate. Wrong. Your digits as in our purchase for those players are false.
With Amauri we actually spent 25 million, not 22m.
With Vucinic we spent 18 million, and not 15 million.
Have you considered he plays in La Liga? In a league that is easy to score in? First off, he's not proven in Italian football, so bringing a player for that much to be RELIED on scoring is none sense all in all. Not to mention he has the likes of Ronaldo, Alonso and Kaka supplying him with support.
His age? We can do better with younger and someone already proven in Serie A.

Actually going into the Ogbonna debate, wouldn't be such a bad idea if you ask me. Ogbonna is a player who we speak alot about values, and Higuian is surely the same in this market situation.
I completely agree about Rossi, worth every penny. The stats don't lie and his form last season was exceptional, not to mention he's already proven in Serie A. By the way, those who will call me out for the Italian Bias, think before you post.
Damiao? Good player, scoring I think like 40 goals in Brazil. Young player, with great potential. But to spend so much on such a young player not even tried on in Europe is something to think about. I would spend less... but hey.. he's always a great prospect to be linked with, and he can always be a great addition to the squad.

You know, at one point I thought you Milansti and Interisti were taking over the section, I guess I was wrong. The old folks came along, and took over instead from the other place.
Anyways, when I look in a dictionary, I see Baresi... the typical troll who knows nothing about Juventus to begin with.

Your opinion towards Rossi is worst than 'silly'.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. Because wether we like it or not, Rossi is worth already on the market for 25 million. Many clubs have gone after the player and the club actually value him like that and higher. Offers from Tottenham, Juventus and others confirm this. As for Higuain, good option, but equally the same as Rossi, though I prefer Rossi.

Re: Higuain to Juventus
I don't deny the offers, just his worth.
After last season 30M, sure.
Right now, cut that figure in half just due to that injury it is always going to be a risk.

Oh right of course, you mean currently due to his injury. I completely agree with you. My misunderstanding, I thought you meant in general, including previous seasons.
