The reason for that is in the video itself. Compare the quality of his goals before his injury (so up to goal #13) to the the quality of his goals after the injury. He never found the same quality of finish when he came back and missed chances that you would have been 100% certain he'd score. Without his finishing ability, Eduardo simply didn't offer much, especially when we had changed to a lone-striker formation in the time he was injured.

At that time, Bendtner was actually starting to play in the first team more consistently and Chamakh was a better player when we initially got him. Eduardo may be a vastly superior finisher, but circumstances at the time meant it made sense to move him on.
