Ozil needs to improve - Mourinho

Ozil apparently needs to improve on the ball and improve when he doesn't have the ball too. He needs to give more according to Mourinho during the 90 mins. This season he's only scored 2 goals and has 6 assists, whereas last season he had scored 4 at this point of the season.
Also if he's performances don't improve by the end of the season there's a possibility he might be sold.

well durh, he has been on the bench for 2 straight games now. And kaka isnt doing any better
i think earlyprototype put it perfectly: "i think it says alot when your 2 AMs arent playing and you start with no recognised AMs for the game".....
fact is he is dissapointed with both kaka and ozil...hope he treats ozil the same way he treated benzema

I still am not supporting the idea of selling him. He could be useful and a good sub.
I understand where mourinho is coming from though, and i think i heard from somewhere that there is a crack in the relationship between Mourinho and Ozil one reason would be because Ozil is pulling a ronaldinho already. (you knnow what i mean)
I felt that there was something wrong in the game against seville. The players werent behaving themselves.

Players like ozil come and go. We wont miss him. But we dont really have to sell him. PLus if he doesnt start delivering, its better for his future to move to another club where he can play an integral role.

also when a reporter asked why ozil was underperforming Mou just ignored him and said that he thought he was going to ask him about Benzema and Varane....Mou hasnt made it a secret but i think he is the right guy to take ozil back on track

He is in the middle of Transformation from a AM to CM.
Mourinho wants him transformed into a CM, as Canales is our future AM.
Such transformation takes months, and probably few years.

btw, Ozil has off the pitch issues he is dealing with as well, he hasnt been the most exemplary of professionals this year. He is turning into Sneijder 2.0

If he's not working hard enough it makes sense..............same thing that irked Mou about Benz.But on the pitch he's doing alot more running than last season.

When a midfielder with great passing and amazing vissions for lethal passes is also made to track back and perform his defensive duties in his own half, he is transforming from a pure AM to a CM.

He is not really transforming into a CM, he is going from being a modern AM to a more classic n.10, adept at playing deeper and helping out the withdrawn midfielders more. An ACM if anything. As for Canales being the future AM, let's not jump sheeps...
Sneijder was starting to enjoy Madrid night life a little more in his second season. I read the same about Ozil, being more distracted, specially given the fact that he is turning into a massive star, and possibly his father being his agent and putting more pressure on him maybe. anyway, a lot of distractions it seems.
