Actually that is not irrelavent, your assumption of predicting the future is, because that has no basis of backing up what you're saying. Last season Matri scored 20 goals with a mid table club and with Juventus struggling from Christmas until the end of the season. Making him in the top 5 of goalscorers in Serie A.

Now, you got Matri who has 0.75 chance of scoring per game, having already 6 goals and 4 assists to him in about 8 games I believe. The stats don't lie, Matri is the ideal prima punta, and Conte made that clear.

Matri has featured in more than 8 games I think, wikipedia says 11 for this season and I think that is correct.
In any case, we cannot say what Quagliarella would have done but we can still see what he can do throughout this season. Matri has been fantastic, it really must be noted.
