Xavi may have been inconsistent but he still bossed the big games and definitely is still the best around......
If you include Iniesta is an AM that is.
I wont even get into to, why you chose Rooney, Sagna and Lahm tbh......
Xavi: Sportsczy has deceived me

Re: Vote For Your Team Of The Year 2011
Seriously.... lets compare the two today:
Defensive ability Piggy>Xavi
Workrate Piggy>Xavi
Control Xavi>Piggy
Passing Xavi>Piggy
Shot Piggy>Xavi
Attacking ability Piggy>Xavi
multitasking Piggy>Xavi
How can anyone say that Xavi is an overall better midfielder than Piggy?

I dont really care about the *overall* tag. For me, Xavi controls the midfield like no other. The way he creates space in the midfield, instructs his team mates and executes the entire game plan is just a joy to watch. When Schweini can do that, then he can be considered to be compared to Xavi.
Till then, Schweini is just another great player and a level below Xavi.

He's lucky that he has Busquets and Iniesta around him + Messi in front of him to cushion his obvious decline... not that he's not great. But no longer the best imo. Piggy has taken over as the best midfielder.
Iniesta didnt play against Milan.
Guess who dominated the match and scored the match winning goal.
Guess who averages 120 odd passes per match this season with a 94% pass completion rate.
Guess who dominated almost every single big game last season including the CL final and the CL SF 1st leg.
And yet you say that Piggy has been better. What sort of a joke is that?
He has done absolutely nothing to be even mentioned in the same breath as Xavi.
Xavii is the best midfielder in the world by far and he will reaffirm that on Saturday night when he completely and utterly dominates Alonso and co again.

I like how people pick 4 Madrid players in a season they only won the CDR.
Imagine next year’s results if Madrid wins this CL

Re: Vote For Your Team Of The Year 2011
---------------Casillas
Alves----Pique----Thiago Silva----Marcelo
Di Maria----Xavi-------Ozil---------Nani
-------------Messi------Ronaldo
Coach: Pep Guardiola
If this wasn't based on who was better last year and instead it was based on ability then Mata, Hazard and Young > Di Maria.
Gotze, Robben and Gervinho > Nani.
And choosing from Silva, Iniesta and Ozil would be hard.
