+1.. I saw that and shuddered in horror. Wouldn't trade him, he's our midfield general for the future. We must hold on to him.

The Thiago Silva stuff, as I said before, is all just futile for the moment. We should forget him and look at other options while the rumours go on. If something happens, we can discuss it for real... until then, let's talk about other players.

On the thiago-thiago deal. I would not sell Thiago never, especially not at this point when we've began to realize his completeness in the midfield and has become very very useful. I would like Thiago Silva here, but I think we're fine atm with Masche, and offering Thiago and money is a stretch too far, there's always the option of looking elsewhere..

Marca have reported that we're in for Nilmar. Given Villarreal's drop to segunda and he's got 2 years left on his contract, he will def come at a lower price. He has the tools to be a decent striker (pace, decent finishing, dribbling, awareness) but he's way too injury prone and inconsistent for my liking.

Thiago must stay. Give them Fabregas instead.

I would be happy for Thiago (Alcântara) if he went to Milan. He would get much more play time for his development and I believe he is the perfect fit for the Italian club. However I can fully understand why no Barcelona fan would like to see that happen.

I think Barcelona should cash in Afellay if a good offer/swap comes their way. He will never be a starter for Barcelona and I frankly don't think he is best suited for Barcelona's playing style.

I believe Nilmar could be signed for around €8-9 million. Whether he is going to be a good addition to the current Barcelona line-up is another story though.

its not like if thiago alcantara would be happy to play for us because he is a home grown player, and he feels home in barcelona. u cant force a player to play for other team when his heart lies in barcelona, he would be a different animal if he plays in other club than barcelona.

im not talking about money matter. barcelona have absolutely crucified and butchered real madrid on several occasions on how real madrid steals stars from other clubs.

u guys boast a lot about your youth system all the time, well why cant the club prove it now by deploying one of their home grown CBs...

besides our club have already said since the barca game with us that thiago silva wont be sold to barcelona or any club now or in next season so frankly barca should just let us live in peace.

thats why i am saying they continue eyeballing thiago silva causes a hypocrisy. that was the case with cesc and arsenal too.

Barca never said they wont buy stars. Every big club buys stars, we just buy the least of all of them. Hypocrisy? Please, remember Ibra deal? Remember that barca is one of the teams that has most Balon s'Or winners, and most of them were bought from other clubs.

Cesc wanted to come to Barcelona for the longest of times and he grew up in Barcelona.. I can see you feel threatened that we will take your star but it is not like we are holding a gun in his face. Yeah we boast about our youth system because unlike majority of clubs we have more than half our team of youth, whats your point.

Deals only work in one way with Italians. Especially with someone as cheap Galliani. Ibra was sold for €22 to Milan at about €40 million loss for Barcelona. Ronaldinho for €20, Rivaldo for free.

It was €21 million + €4m in variables and considering Milan didn't win anything while Ronnie was there it is safe to say the deal was worth around €21 million in total.
