He reminds me a lot of Caceres. In my opinion he should have been given more time, but he was a fail... can't deny. They are both really athletic and possess a lot of natural talents, but they are both rash and impulsive. Playing in a high line, this means you get owned a lot.

IMO Luiz has better technique than Casseres and yes he is a little rash… However this is a sign of young age. It can only be improved. If the price was reasonable, I’d take him without question

Bartra or Muniesa don't have anything to envy in terms of technical ability to David Luiz tbh. I don't see any need in us signing a young, raw, rash, error prone defender with great on the ball qualities and technique, cause we already have three of them.

We should sign a defensive and aerial master, and only Dede from what I've seen is that. (Thiago Silva and Kompany are too, but they are impossible).

Lovren would be a very good option IMO, more than Javi Martinez or many other names being thrown out there.

Eh, very injury prone from what I hear, and Rafael recently signed a new contract, as for Fabio is getting loaned out.

Apart from a couple of encounters with Cristiano, which I admit he did very well, he was shaky with his passing, misjudged long balls on a few occasions, heading clearances were sub-par as usual and didn't contribute much to attack either.

I thought Pique had his best game! Yes, his passing was off for the first 10 minutes but apart from that he did well and stopped CR7 from creating many chances...

Pique made 6 tackles, more than anyone else. Twice more than any other CB.

The only passes I didnt see work, were longer adventerous ones. Also one to Jordi Alba which went sailing out of bounds, everything else was fine.

On Piqué: Whether he made the most successful tackles in the game or not, that is all stats. I actually think he was the poorest CB in the game. In order, Pepe > Ramos > Alves > Piqué. I'm quite surprised some people find his display classy.

I love the guy and I really do wish we have him as he does gives us a good replacement for Puyol. Definately better than Arbeloa when placed on the right flank especially in attack...

Pique was great that game. He had to deal with Arbeloa and Ronaldo hence he was bit nervous but he didnt put a foot wrong in the defense.There was no 'poor CB' in that game,both pair of CB played at a very high level .

It's a new fashion nowadays to say that Pique is playing crap with Spain in the Euros and has been crap since 1, 2 or 3 years ago.

I'm amazed that Pique has been so bad in the Euros, although his team has only conceeded one goal and that was definitely not his fault.

I'm glad a team was finally able to show how rubbish Arbeloa is. Sh*t on the ball, and for a 'defensive' fullback, he's not a very good defender.

Definately love to have Puyi in that side and Ramos at RB... Better defensively and can put a better cross than Arbeloa though I still don't rate him up there in that particular area!

Ramos is an animal at RB for Spain. I won't argue against this because he's a Madrid player... the guy is just a beast.
