Re: Hiddink fired as coach of Turkey
About time.
Failed to qualify Russia for the WC and being beaten by Slovenia.
Failed for Turkey.
Do I have to name his past failures?
When will someone realize this man is really overrated and is nowhere near a top class manager.

More like stupid russian players failed themselves .... they were winning 2-0 the first game and guess what the players relaxed ... and they got a goal ...What happened in Slovenia was a bunch of desperate russian players .... but hey in the Euros they went on to the semifinals everybody seems to forget that . He brought Australia to the WC by beating the 3rd place south american team and he got them out of the group but was unluckily beaten by a penalty that was a disgraceful dive ... He almost screwed Barca but Iniesta shined in the clutch again . And he humiliated Milan with a PSV side where Park Ji Sung was the star ... and only a late goal by Ambrosini saved us .... He's a good coach without the luck factor ...
He's the Ballack of the semifinals ...

You have some good points.
But what Hiddink also did is completely cease to defensively press against the Slovenian side and allowed their increasing pressure to overcome them and narrow the field. A rookie mistake. It was mostly his naive tactics that allowed Slovenia to prevail.
His Australia tenure is massively overrated. How was the penalty lucky? How was it a disgraceful dive considering it actually wasn't? Provide the video and we'll dissect it together.
With Chelsea he completely parked the bus in the first leg and considering the options available his players had no direction in the 2nd leg with no game-plan before the game and the increasingly deep line he applied caused the effect.
The Milan game? It was a good performance by PSV but mostly by our defensive mistakes and Ancelotti's naive plan to play a high line and change into 433 leaving massive gaps.
He is a good manager. But no where near what everyone makes him to be.

Yes he allowed Slovenia to get back on track ... but man if you knew how bad are russia's defenders you'd think he did a pretty good job . The Berezutskyi brothers are like Kaladze and Bonera . But if you call that a rookie mistake so be it ... but we'll have to agree that Anceloti made such rookie mistakes too wich cost us way more than a World Cup that i wouldnt even regret qualifying for considering how awful it was , and thats not because Spain won . Yes he did park the bus . And he counter-attacked . In the first leg Drogba has more than 2 clear chances to score a goal . In the 2nd leg they also had good chances and he had Ovrebo to screw it all . All in all looking at those 2 games he approached them very well i'd say perfectly . A thing many other coaches failed to do . And since hes cursed with Semifinals , Barca on the other hand are very lucky with referies in semifinals . Australia tenure overrated ?! When was the last time they got to WC before him ?
I call it a disgraceful dive not because it wasnt a foul by the Australian player but because Grosso could clearly stay on feet . The australian player didnt get the ball but he didnt tacke his legs either its Grosso who jumped under his body there .

Please spare us italians and not show us that bums face!!!
What he did to us was criminal, bloody scumbagg.
On topic hiddink is not as good as people think nor as bad as people are sayin.
And if chelsea or man city fire there current managers to take this guy then there retards.
They both have top coaches who are both very young, much better than hiddink.
Besides when was the last time he actually coached a club properlyy

I am angry at Hiddink he left us, not for Slovenia loss as it was everybody's mistake, not just him.

Did you say that in hope no one saw the game?It was a freaking miracle Barca didn't lose 5-0...
Defeat from Spain in semis is not failure by any means, certainly not for Russia after defeating Netherlands and landing 3rd place against Turkey. And I have no idea who that is...I guess the ref who made those calls against Italy.Doesn't matter though...Hiddink managed them past the group of Portugal and beating the on the way, beating Spain and barely loosing to Germany. That's quite an accomplishment despite the circumstances...

It is not fair to evaluate him based on trophies, since most of those teams were not really trophy contenders (ex: Korea, Russia, Australia), and in other cases he didn't stay long enough to coach a top club( ex: Real and Chelsea).

despite?
korea made it to the semifinals DESPITE spain having two goals disallowed, DESPITE italy having a player sent off and DESPITE playing worse than stoke in the game against italy?
hiddink is a massive myth of a coach, i have absolutely no idea why people rate him

Re: Hiddink fired as coach of Turkey
Are you saying it doesn't count then?
Guardiola is a myth then,Chelsea didn't have 4 penalties called and Barca's CL doesn't count DESPITE them winning it.
You could say that if that was his only success, the guy won a freaking treble with PSV.He had fails, but you don't go that far without good coaching and success.

of course it doesn't count... barcelona had questionable decisions go their way but it was nowhere near the korean disgrace... they literally eliminated two teams because of fifa's agenda ffs

Re: Hiddink fired as coach of Turkey
No he's not. He's not the best as many of you said, but he simply chose the hard way by bringing up the underdog to be dark horse and he did well with Russia, PSV of the noughties and S. Korea. He also won treble at the highest level when Liverpool seemed unbeatable back then. He's just done it so long without real consistency in one dominating team, such as Pep and in weaker teams, not like Mou; so he's considered overrated by the bashers here. Benitez might be better tactically, but Hiddink is intelligent enough to do what he did against Barca with his short tenure in Chelsea, parking the Aeroplane who was followed by many great coaches to hinder the Barca ways afterwards, which lead them to resort to Busquetsque playacting.
