Argentina got robbed

The refs were Boliviano. Not only they dissallowed that perfectly good goal, but they dissallowed two other goals, that were 50/50 offsides. Also the ref kept distrupting the flow of game calling every little foul, yet he didn't give yellows at all. All that were music to Bolivians.

Eh, the offsides were offsides imho. But that one was the wrong call. I'm not saying we were great or anything, I found our performance quite awful, but the ref did cost us 2 points there that we need...

can't dwell in the past, what happened, happened. On to Baranquilla. Significantly tougher team.

Ref was anti-argentina this is clear. but saddest moment was to see demichelis in starting line-up. repeated his mistake against korea and was shit all the game. except him argentina played normal compared previous games. it was just bad luck and bad referee

Gago was our best player, then Clemente.

yea Gagod was awesome on Friday.....I hope he becomes a regular. He tends to be like glass though, gets injured really quickly.

Gagod was awesome and that was indeed a goal, but no one's talking about how AWFUL Messi was that day.

Otamendi & Garay are decent enough, IMO.

Otamendi seem's more like a Fullback though and Garay >>> Demichelis.

Well yea but I guess anyone is better than Demichellis.

I am of the opinion that we should use a proven defensive partnership from the Argentine league. Namely Boca since they're doing pretty well right now. Clemente on the left seems good but some cultured defenders from the Argentine Primera could be the answer.

As for Riquelme. We really lack that Xavi-like engine that Riquelme provided to us before and there are no young players(except for probably Canteros<- but he is still young and unproven) who can do what Riquelme can do. Maybe it's time for Roman to make his return.

Also, everyone is right in saying that Messi had a terrible game on Friday. Terrible by any footballer's standards.

Tbf shini we tried that during the Maradona era with a Velez partnership and they got eaten alive by Brazil at home. I'm not against the idea, but it's not a panacea either.

Roman is made of glass and is too old. Not the solution we need right now.

Just play Mascherano as CB and Banega in midfield along with Gago.

That is my prefered option as well, but Banega is injured for the time being.

i still stand behind gago and banega dissappearing...i feel gago played a better game than lets say Pastore, but its obvious that gago can't be trusted. gago needs to go, banega needs to go. demi needs to go gooooood I can't believe he does it every game. clemente was fantastic and I always said a riquelme return would be awesome but you can;t trust him to be a part of a developing team for Argentina.

Garay put Rooney in his pocket when he was on form in the CL a couple months ago.

Garay is pretty bad.
