Lyon-Real post match
We lost again, we can't beat Madrid anymore, our team has become too weak to trouble Mourinho team.
At least we fought in the second half and showed better spirit than in the first match. We missed our key players too much.
Dabo who replaced Cissokho is just bad, he costed a penalty (after getting sent off after 10 minutes Satursday) stupidily as Ronaldo had lost the ball.
Gomis has no technique at all and he is the slowest player in the world. Briand is only good with his dead but it's a catastrophe with the feet.
Gourcuff was a ghost again and made the critical fault that gave Ronaldo the free kick he needed to open the score.
Without Lisandro, Bastos, Cissokho, we were condemned before the start.
For Madrid, Benzema showed pure class, he was so good with the ball and in the team play. Di Maria on the other side *bleep* up so many counter attacks it was unbelievable. They are my favourite for the title.

If by decent you lean he was less worst than Gomis and Ederson then yes, but in fact he was still very bad.

Meh game, but hey, we won in Lyon and put to bed any of that jynx stuff. And secured qualification as 1st place, the other two games we can relax, rest players and try youngsters (please do this Mou!)

Re: Lyon-Real post match
So once again, Gourcuff was trimming his eyelashes, being careful about his nails and waiting for when he can take his shirt off.
I'm defecting upon maldini's criticism on him and know now why a man who never criticizes his players would go as far as doing so for GourShit.
Letting Pjanic go was suicide.
5 times the talent and player Gourcuff is.
Gourcuff at night: "If only Laurent was here to keep me safe"
Mentality of a used condom

you are being too harsh Arq, up to this season, Pjanic was just an FM legend, while Gourcuff had become the best AM in France but is going through a slump

Ozil? Brilliant hands down. Unlucky not to score a few chances and assist a few. Joy to watch.

And I have been saying again and again, Go-mis's touch and technique makes Erjon Bogdani's look like Baggio's.

For one season yes.
I'm sad that you did not see the days where I liked Gourcuff but so far he has fallen from my interest due to his nagging and mentality.
Pjanic? Puel was stupid enough to never play him as every time he came he impressed us all in the short time of space he was always given.
Far more then Gourcuff at least.

The Pjanic question is a bit different. Two seasons ago he had a very promising season with 11 goals and 11 assists, he was a decisive player and despite disappearing in some match he was good. Last season we bought Gourcuff and Puel decided to bench Pjanic to play Gourcuff everytime and when Gourcuff was injured Pjanic was bad. Both player had a disastrous season last year.
But at the beginning of this season Pjanic was one of our best player and was playing so well, until Aulas decided to sell him to make money.
Grenier may very well take Gourcuff spot soon when he come back from injury.

Ozil was decent at best. His passing and finishing were average. But then again I am comparing him to his high standards he set for himself last year. Purely based on form, if there is a choice, Kaka should start over Ozil.

Re: Lyon-Real post match
Ozil lack consistency now... lost his rhythm. You see flashes here and there. But he's a shadow of himself right now. He needs consistent playing time to get it back since he's a rhythm player.

He is young, it's normal i think.
Benzema is playing every two games but he is excellent nonetheles

Yeah... but Benz is also not completely sharp despite playing great overall. He was so clinical at finishing when he was playing a couple of games a week. Now, he wastes more. We should play Benz with Higuain a couple of times a month just to get that sharpness back.
It's easier to stay sharp than to get sharp as a rhythm player. If Higuain hadn't gotten injured last year and Ade hadn't sucked, Benz would have never had the chance to get his game back.
Mou needs to invest in Ozil right now even if he's not at his best. Play him 2-3 games in a row as a starter.

Ozil made me rock hard tonight.
Khedira remains one of my guilty fantasies.

Ever the fatalist, OLPower.
Gourcuff was by no means a ghost, he was the star man along with Lovren (who is now injured, FML), Lacazette (who shjould have started instead of Gomis) and Lloris.
Gourcuff's comin' back.
