TONI, INZAGHI LINKED WITH MLS MOVE
October 28th, 2011 Bill_Kendal
Italian stars Luca Toni and Filippo Inzaghi are being lined up with moves across the Atlantic to MLS side Montreal Impact for the 2012 season, according to the players’ agent.
Speaking to Italian radio station 98.5 Sports, Tulio Tinti admitted that the duo are being linked with a move to the Canadian outfit who have been awarded a franchise to compete in the MLS starting next summer.
“Luca Toni and Filippo Inzaghi are both of a certain age and may have an interest in this kind of experience,” Tinto said.
“It is necessary that both parties have the desire to get along but from our side I can tell you absolutely that there would be some interest.
“I think it would be a great experience for them. Playing a different type of football, maybe learning new language and do something different somewhere they have never lived, it is certainly very interesting.
“Montreal is a beautiful city and I would not hesitate to offer one of my players to go there.”
Toni, 34, has been linked this week with a January move to Arsenal after falling down the pecking order at Juventus while the 38-year-old Inzaghi suffered a cruciate ligament injury a year ago that has kept him out of the reckoning at AC Milan.

Re: Montreal Impact
They're gunna win it all!!!!!
Obviously I know it's not going to be anything special, which is normal when you have a whole group of new players. At this point I just want some improvements in management because Nick De Santis and Matt Jordan won't cut it.
So far its Nelson Rivas FTW!

Damn that's an awesome turn out.
Will be a pleasure to see him tearing up defenses Stateside. Looking forward to it.
