Ramos to CB, aftermaths... Empty Ramos to CB, aftermaths...

Post by Babun Sun Oct 23, 2011 1:03 pm

1. His speed on recovery allowed us to play 3-3-3 throghout the first half Very Happy
2. The guy is the passing CB we need. Moving him to CB gives us 3 passing options from 4 defenders in form of Godbeloa, Ramos and Marcelo Very Happy
3. Two high pressing lines of 3 were flawless in the first half Very Happy It's only possible with speedy players Very Happy
4. Since Godbeloa starts we don't concede cheap goals anymore. Coincidence? Very Happy

Discuss! :lol!:

Importantly Ramos is athletic enough to cover Marcelo , which Carvalho nor Albiol ever will be.

I know Kaka's name was on the team sheet but apart from one good cross in the first half and countless times when he lost the ball in dribblings I didn't see anything Very Happy
He was supposed to be in the free role between the last 3-3. The thing is he took free, an early holiday shi(f)t Very Happy
So in essense, we played 3-3-3. You don't count referees as well just because they're on the field, right? :lol!:

Arbeloas replacement will be Carvajal. Very Happy

As for Pepe, I dont know if it will be Varane. The kid is good already, if I were him I wouldnt wait 2-3 years on the bench. Maybe we could loan him out?

we can rotate him with Ramos and Pepe, a top team needs 3 top CBs. He is good and he is young. Besides, you are never safe from an injury..

Yeah my only concern is that we have to find a long term RB. Not for a bit though because Arbeloa can cover up for a year or two.

We have Carvajal as young RB, it's our job to groom him, it's a very very good youngster.

Pepe has at least 4 more years left in his legs
Arbie though has 2, max 3(Salgado type role)
Carvajal is going to take that place

Carvajal is very good, a right sided Marcelo. Unfortunately, he will probably have similar problems in adapting but eventually I'm sure he'll be fine, if we manage it well. Maybe he can help Castilla to Segunda, have a loan spell at Getafe or something, then come back to eventually replace Arbeloa. Ramos can fill in the gaps anyway.

In future, when he gets old, Pepe can play until he's 35-36 and be that Strong pillar we need, like Guttoso or like Cambiasso or something

He is very atheletic.
