Galliani hails AC Milan's 4-2-Fantasia
21.11 || webmaster
Source: Football Italia
Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani is delighted with Leonardo's decision to make the team more attacking, calling his formation a 4-2-Fantasia.
After a terrible start to the season, the Rossoneri have climbed seven places in five games, and now sit two points behind Juventus and seven behind Inter.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Galliani said: “I willingly renew my compliments to Leonardo for having chosen this new formation that I prefer to call a 4-2 and fantasia.
“Behind the numbers we risk losing ourselves. Milan make evaluations judged on the best characteristics of our attacking players.
“I hope we can go far. It's a wonderful Milan to watch and like all the teams who play in this way we create a lot, but take many risks.
“The philosophy is that of winning 4-3 rather than 1-0 just as Silvio Berlusconi has always said. Leonardo is walking in the footsteps of Capello. Both were directors and the club has chosen to focus on them debuting despite general scepticism.
“I hope my friend Leo wins as much as Capello and that within 'many' years he trains Brazil. The players have wedded themselves to his philosophy and everything changed in that by now famous half-time with Roma.”
Asked to reveal what happened, Galliani replied: “Nothing in appearance. But Leonardo decided to change formation and no one breathed a word.”
Finally Galliani somewhat reluctantly gave his prediction for this season.
“I don't know how many points we'll get. I don't love making predictions. But I can assure you that Milan will be there both in Serie A and the Champions League. Milan want to get to the end everywhere,” he concluded.

Conte sometimes makes mistakes in the subs yes and lacks somewhat tactical view but as motivator he is great.
what I mind about Cotne is the over-rotating and formation changing the team won't gel to good
Finally, someone is putting his emotions aside!

Re: Conte: 'Juve must learn from this'
As I posted in another discussion:
Parma W (2011-12 14th, 2010-12 12th)
Siena W (11th, Serie B)
Bologna D (18th, 16th)
Catania D (9th, 13th)
Milan W (7th, 1st)
Chievo D (13th, 11th)
Genoa D (12th, 10th)
Outside of Milan, fairly unimpressive results against unimpressive opponents.
When Conte gets through Fiorentina, Palermo, Napoli, Lazio, and Inter, let's talk about how "well" he's doing.
I will evaluate Conte after this stretch of games. Until then, his evaluation is incomplete.

That constant changing of formations and the subs remind me of Raffa ( Liverpool time when he was 'great') tbh lol but conte is big motivator.
Dunno I don't feel like risking another season knowing that Lippi is out there but lets not get ahead of our self like you said above let us see after that until he is undefeated and we play with % of posession we need and must support Conte .

We all know that he's a legend,as a player!that's why many on this forum are still considering him a legend also as a manager,or are refusing to talk in a negative way on him just for his history!
But you talked APART from his history as player, that's what I meant

Conte's ability to implement a tactical system and control possession are impressive, but poor performing teams can do this and still not have results. Look at a guy like Zeman. Players buy into his system and he produces goals, but he doesn't win anything.
I'm not saying Conte is like Zeman, but until his system and time of possession start yielding more victories, I will wait on deciding whether or not he is the long term option for Juve. These next five games will be very critical and telling of the potential Juventus legacy of Conte the manager.

I remember de Laurentiis storming out of the Serie A fixture draw because he thought Napoli got screwed. But Juve should be the ones complaining with Fiorentina, Inter, Napoli, Palermo, and Lazio coming up. That's a disgusting stretch of games.

I get what you say. Goals win games not possession or shots or passes. That we lack but as I said I agree after the games the tought ones and until jan we need to leave conte alone to see his thoughts and ideas and than judge

Oh yes for sure, this coming from the guy who called Devi a dictator and got the whole section after. Yes, I'm the pioneer of it all. Very odd indeed that when I was gone, there was still drama to begin with. Explain to me how I was the blame of them.

Lol @ Djfawnz. The same guy who said he would leave Juventus if a player was not bought. Real good guy to be judging others.
