I'm gonna get blasted for this but King Abdullah was a major reformer (imo) who constantly pushed back against the radical/extremist Imams. His death is a somewhat major loss for the rights of women in Saudi Arabia. They gained the right to run for office in municipalities elections this year because of King Abdullah...Not a major reform but its getting somewhere..There are certainly some inexcusable crimes that happened under his rule, just adding some of the positives he's brought.

I have no idea about his brother though

great rebuke LS.

It seems that social media and its inherent lack of controls in preventing propaganda and/or inerudite tripe counter-balance what is now supposed to be a more informed world.

To be fair America is full of students wearing the face of a man that wanted to nuke the U.S. off the map. Explain that one hmm

He makes some good points (wars starting by Arabs and the desire to not recognize Israel), however it's quite one sided failing to metion a few issues with Israel:

- UN partition from 1948 was quite unfair with the most land (55%) and also the best one to Israel while Jews were less than 30% of the population.

- Israel accepted the partition but right afterwards there was open conflict and civil unrest involving both israelites and palestinians to get more land.

- Nowadays it not so clear that Israelians would do nothing and just give peave if the arabs gave off their weapons. Israel is colonizing palestinian territory day by day and it seems their goal is to dominate all palestinian land long term.

- Conversely, I very much doubt Arabs would invade and especially genocide israel if they gave off their weapons, although they would surely invade palestina and probably more land, but I don't see them making a jewish cleansing.
