Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Ornstein was on Radio 5 Live just now:
- Pepe deal not yet completed, as still things to sort out with agents/reps, but there's confidence it'll be completed soon
- Napoli had agreed a fee with Lille, but not with the agent
- Pepe will have a five year contract, deal is paid in instalments over those five years
- Pepe deal means no chance of Zaha deal as well
- Palace wanted more money up front for Zaha, hence no deal despite similar overall fees
- Auba/Laca won't be sold to finance anything
- Pepe deal will take out a large chunk of the remaining budget, so transfers afterwards will be very limited
- Interest remains in Tierney. Arsenal have met Celtic's valuation (£25m) but Celtic not happy with the structure of the deal
- It seems a CB won't arrive unless there are some sales, club is confident in Holding and Bellerin finding form once they return
- It's going to be a busy end to the window
So Martinelli fee, first instalment for Saliba, first instalment for Pepe and the loan fee for Ceballos = around £45m, it seems. I'm guessing there's some leftover to get Tierney done.
And it seems my guess about a CB may be right. Koscielny, Chambers and Elneny seem the most likely players to leave by the end of the window. I'm guessing that, besides Tierney, most the club's efforts will be on selling.

Dean (back to bullshitting again) meanwhile suggesting we are still interested in Zaha and Tierny is done.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Meanwhile, Xavier Amaechi has joined Hamburg for about £2m+add ons. No buy-back but there will be a sell-on clause. A shame as he looked exciting, but he's fallen behind Saka and plays on the same side as Pepe. Can see why he wants to go.
Takuma Asano could be joining Red Star Belgrade for about £2m, too.
Every little helps.

Wish we start including buy back clauses. But i imagine Amaechi wasn't interested in coming back anyways.

Juve love loans with an opzione so I think there's a good chance you pull this off
besides it's incredibly clear he has no future at Juve
he also sucks
no idea why you don't offer us a loan with an option for Rojo or Bailly? ffs

This guy (never heard of him before) has been quite spot on with his Arsenal transfer news.
Arsenal trying for Rugani on loan, scouted him for years, have other options if doesn’t come off

Is Rugani any good? Has anyone seen him play?? I can remember links with him every summer, the only player linked to us more than him is probably M'vila.

He really can't be worse than Mustafi

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Nah Mustafi at Arsenal might be the worst defender I've ever seen probably along with Papy Djiloboudji
Going forward it's just really imperative that he doesn't play, or as little as possible, it doesn't really matter who comes in for him

Sokratis is shit as well tbh. Just looks good compared to Mustafi. Chambers is the english Mustafi.
Ceballos looks good.

Holding - Sokratis really should be our CB partnership at the moment based on the personnel we have.

Meanwhile, Sami Khedira was the Emirates Cup, fuelling rumours he's going to sign on a free transfer.
A transfer about 10 years too later, I reckon.
