I haven't played Elex, but I remember @futbol speaking highly of it. Perhaps right now is the time to pick it up during Steam's Autumn Sale Reviews look quite mixed though, what is up with that? It seems like a bit of a Marmite game where reviewer opinions are very divided.

I haven't played BF in years, even though I have all BF games on my shared Origin account with my brother.

I picked up a few games during the sale, frankly needed none and probably end up playing each 10 hours max but they were cheap as chips so:

• Far Cry New Dawn: €15
  
• Rage 2: €15
  
• Okami HD: €10
  

For Black Friday I'm thinking of getting Witcher 3, Horizon, and the CTR + Spyro bundle. Also curious about Outer Worlds

then gonna play yakuza 0 and 6

and watch the cutscenes for everything between because they look meh in comparison even with remasters

Kiwami 2 is far from meh. It uses the new engine and is the best looking game of the series.

I got Witcher 3, Horizon, Hellblade and Bioshock collection for 50 from the sales

Hyped. 2 Remake was everything a remake should be. Shame only me and @Kaladin played it. here.

I played the first one in VR, but it made me sick to the point where I had a migraine for the rest of the day. I don’t recommend pushing through VR sickness. Never completed the game, but it was truly immersive in VR, and the game seemed a LOT better than the more recent iterations in the series. I liked the original RE3, so I might get that one if nothing else is of interest when it gets released.

I played RE 7 and I thought it was fantastic. I saw RE 2 on the Steam sale too, but the Deluxe Edition was still a tad expensive so I'm hoping to pick it up during a future sale when it is sub €20.

Not worth picking up Deluxe Edition at all. There is no content beyond alternate costumes. There are no DLC episodes like RE7. Some challenge rooms were free updates and are available in the Standard Edition.

That's ridiculous, pretty much final nail in the coffin. I had so high hopes for this game, and possible series, and they had opportunity to do something great with it. But they ruined it playing completely safe, as this offers nothing that has already been seen.

I actually have gamepass and could play it free, but I've really no interest of doing so anymore. Why would I do that, when there's FO:NV with endless mods, which does pretty much everything better, other than graphics?

I had a feeling you wouldn’t like it, Harmonica. It’s a very well written game, and I found it quite enjoyable to play through, but it offers close to nothing in terms of reinvention. I also found the upgrade system both linear and a bit chaotic at the same time, and I wish it had offered a more intuitive system for building the type of character you want to create. I ended up putting most of my talent points in diplomacy and engineering because.. you’re disadvantaged if you don’t.

Yeah well written doesn't really cut it, it also must have some hook to play, compared to previous games. I just finished FO: New California, a fan made prequel to FO:NV. And its scope is pretty similar to Outer Worlds, it's pretty professionally made and offers couple completely different ways of completion. 30 hours of gameplay for completionist. The hook here is, it really is FO:NV engine so modding is endless, and you can actually take the character to New Vegas after completing it. And another difference, its free compared to 60 euro game.

You're right, I just checked the deluxe extras and they're mainly cosmetic?

Outlast Trials to support co-op. Outlast is one of the few non rpg's I've enjoyed the last few years. First was absolutely fantastic if not the best horror game ever, and second one was ok. Still waiting Outlast VR, but it would probably cause too many heart attacks.

Glad Destiny 2 got recognized for the best community. Say what you want to about the game itself, but Bungie has always been responsive and active with player feedback. They've worked pretty hard to earn back the trust of the players (like me) who are super invested in this game.

For me personally, Destiny has the best gaming community I've encountered in my time playing online. Doesn't matter if I was part of a clan or just hopping between LFGs to get stuff done or playing with work buddies, always enjoyed the interactions I've had with the players in this game and the way they support each other. Always great to see given how adversarial online gaming is.
