Could've just asked what games instead of what three.danyjr wrote:So what three games are people looking forward to in 2020?
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
Microsoft Flight Simulator
End of List
Anyone played Pathfinder: Kingmaker? I just bought it on sale from Humble Bundle, after realizing it's actually RTwP.

For me it would be:
- The Last of Us 2
- Minecraft Dungeons
- Crusader Kings 3
Final Fantasy VII remake
Baldurs Gate 3
The Last of Us 2
Also looking forward to falling for the hype and wasting my money on Cryberpunk

Is that out in 2020? I thought it was only Early Access.Harmonica wrote:Mount & Blade II: Bannerlorddanyjr wrote:So what three games are people looking forward to in 2020?

Doubt this one will be out in 2020.rincon wrote:Baldurs Gate 3
Ditto, I reckon many people will do that. Hope it lives up to the hype or least isn't a total let down.rincon wrote:Also looking forward to falling for the hype and wasting my money on Cryberpunk
Re: General Games Discussion
Yeah, but it will probably be completely playable, as was with the original I think. I doubt there'll be a proper launch after that, they'll just continue increment features.danyjr wrote:Is that out in 2020? I thought it was only Early Access.

Didn't you like PoE?
Not too exited with BG3, and I've over 1500h on BG2. Beamdog did a perfect job with Dragonspear, they should be the ones extending the saga. But this will be completely new installment, which currently just feels like a milking attempt, of wider audiences.

Guys if you think you won't enjoy Cyberpunk don't get it, no amount of hype should sway you honestly as everyone has different tastes and opinions.

Closed alpha has started, and people are saying it's fking awesome. The real time weather seems to get praises a lot. Runs very well even with 2070. But only 32GB got into the alpha, so that might be the requirement, at least for max settings. Heard somebody saying it took 19GB after flying a hour.

Re: General Games Discussion
Very niche "game" which has had a cult following ever since it was released decades ago. I remember back in 2000 my cousin had a (cracked) copy in a paper CD holder which he bought in Argentina for his first PC, and he invested a lot of time and money (in joysticks) in the years to come. He still plays one of the older versions (which is heavily modded) to this date.
Having said that, as beautiful and realistic as it looks and probably feels, I could never get into it. You need to invest a lot in the game to be able to enjoy it even at a basic level; learning the science of flying (physics, some mathematics) as well as all the controls. Again, it is a simulator, so I understand the depth of simulation Microsoft go in to make this a realistic experience, but for the casual gamer it is just too much and I'm sure it is off the radar for most people.
Flying planes on GTA V will do for now

Re: General Games Discussion
I remember first trying it in the 80's with C64. But it was very basic back then, and I think the first really impressive version was 6.0, which was released on Windows 95, and which already had like the smallest airports of my home town. I remember trying to land a Jumbo on that sandy airstrip. Can't believe the game franchise is already 40 years old.danyjr wrote:Very niche "game" which has had a cult following ever since it was released decades ago. Re: General Games Discussion
While we're talking about shooters i think I'm getting the new Doom when it comes out in March.
It looks really good and with all the delays it's basically the only game left for Q1.

Old Blood is meh and very skippable. No cutscenes, no proper story. Only play it if you purely enjoy the shooter experience IMHO.RealGunner wrote:danyjr wrote:Good lad. Planning on playing Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus too?

Re: General Games Discussion
I’m really looking forward to Saints Row 5 being released. The developer’s have revealed that they’re deep in development of the game, but no release date as of yet. I’ve been playing Saints Row 2 on Playstation Now recently, and I’d completely forgotten how good this game was, considering when it was released.

The previews for Doom Eternal sounds nuts, it's basically confirmed my initial feeling of buying it.

Hmm, I've clocked 152 hours of Skyrim in less than month after buying new monitor. Although most of it is because the release of Legacy of the Dragonborn V5, the greatest mod ever, after Tamriel Rebuilt that is. Without modding I would never play Skyrim again, but again, modded it feels like a completely new adventure.
