Why does this look like a PS3 game?

Hard to put my thoughts on Death Stranding as even before this trailer I cannot shake off the feeling that the gameplay isnt tightly weaved enough to make a compelling product from a playing point of view. Kojima is my all time favourite but his first stray away from the momentous Metal Gear may have his brilliant ideas possibly not fuse well enough to create a game that people simply want to Play, as I enjoy simulation aspects and play open world games to that context such as Red Dead 2's simulation aspects and will this as well, but beyond my own perspective it seems that the story will be lauded but the gameplay itself seems to be too many ideas and not executed well enough for a cohesive package.

One thing for instance I hate about Japanese games or Japanese developers is that the character never feels like he is actually walking on ground but just a pixelated base along with those quick animated movements that I could not stand when it came to MGS.

Think Splinter Cell Chaos Theory etc where every step was felt.

I fail to see why Kojima is going the same route here.

Maybe Kojima has more up his sleeve but so far even the environment seems lacking as gorgeous as it is, similar to MGSV and I hope his flair for cinematic ideas has him not lose focus on the core gameplay itself. I can already see the memes busted out in the future calling it a hit-and miss Walking-Peeing-Fetus simulator to which of course is narrowing it down harshly but the standard set by recent PS4 games has to push Kojima not to rely on previous techniques that won us all over.

Usually I am right on how a game is fared well or not but that is not one to be taken by as the general reception in the last piece just shown was not received too well and not just due to the incremental weariness shown by the general public by the hype of this game.

I called it out last year, this game will fall short well below expectations, as dearly as I want it to succeed.

Oh and Avengers looks so trash.

How was there any hype even with this title? Did they not know fresh off the Avengers decade few would associate with the characters not licensed by the film actors?

Looks so limited and uninspiring. Similar to the Lego series to which is as overrated and simple as it comes unless youre a child.

I don't see the point in taking anything substantial from trailers tbh.

No trailer ever does anything for me positively or negatively and I'm always confused when people get overly annoyed or happy at them.

Trailer yes, but can this really be called one given it was the first non-cut gameplay sequence that to which, did not truly excite viewers? That is unless as mentioned, this is a teaser to a far more rich array of gameplay to which I would not doubt.

Looks interesting enough to me even from a gameplay POV but the bigger question from myself is whether it will be received as well as it is hyped.

I've spoke about before, I've been interested in it since before E3.

Looks like it's took some good things from old Bioware games and Witcher with some unique things thrown in but doesn't have the budget so some production stuff might annoy some people.

Personally i don't care though so I'm looking forward to it.

If you've grown bored of Persona already, and you're still looking for a turn-based RPG, I quickly went through most of the RPGs on PS Now out of boredom, and Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force has been, by far, the best one so far - granted, the majority of them frustrated me after only 15-30 minutes or so and I knew I wouldn't enjoy playing them any longer. The anime theme and the English voice acting in Fencer really don't appeal to me, but the combat is deceptively deep to the point where I'm struggling to keep up with all of the new battle features I keep getting introduced to. I'm enjoying the game so far, though. The combat is kind of fun, and playing around with new weapons and.. all of the other stuff you get introduced to has been pretty entertaining. I think you might like the game, provided all of the customizable features and whatnot don't throw you off early on.

I'm already a few hours into it at this point, and time has really flown by. The game is only 20-25 hours long, and despite it's excessive amount of features, the game feels casual and light-hearted enough that it's not a stressful experience. I just unlocked an ability called "serious face". The humor in the game is definitely hit and miss, but the introduction to that ability made me chuckle. Other than Fencer, I think you might like Tales of Berseria. That game isn't turn-based, though, and I'm not sure if you'll like the combat in that game.

Checked out Fairy Fencer but that's not my type at all. Not a fan of anime styled games.

Remnant From The Ashes looks very interesting, only heard of the game a week ago

Was reading the review for it on kotaku and it looks better than it did when we saw it in E3

The game starts quite slow, and the story is a big part of it. You'll experience a lot of gameplay, once you get past the story parts inbetween battle phases, though.

I've been interested in Control since it was first revealed. Shame it had to be released at the same time that my vacation ends

It's a good time for me personally, i struggle to play games when it's hot and Wednesday onwards it's starting to cool down.

A lot of foreigners seem to associate Norway with snow and ice and long periods of darkness, yet I'm looking at a forecast of sunny days with with about 18-19 hours of light outside, 25-28C for at least the next week and a half, and an indoor climate that has me sweating buckets, although it's almost midnight here and I'm wearing nothing but briefs. Good thing I bought an A/C unit for our bedroom, at least I spent about £1500 on the A/C and an additional air purifier unit, light proof curtains, a Phillips alarm clock that simulates sunlight when it wakes me up, and a water-based fan that blows cold, purified air that you can add different smells to. I have no regrets. I look forward to going to sleep now. Sometimes, I'm almost tempted to go to sleep early, just because the climate in our bedroom is so damn refreshing. I wake up feeling like I have 3 big-titted porn stars next to me. Best investment, ever. Life is good.
